Title: Dual FD -1 Behaviour ??
Post by: 260Z on 12:21, 08 November 16
Hi all ,

I got a second FD -1 drive today and I have a couple of questions regarding their behaviour. Both running on a 464 via original DD1. I've swapped the drives over and re-cleaned my contacts , to be certain these weren't issues/factors.

1) When loading software the lights on both drives flash.  Is this normal ?

2) After resetting the computer.  If I read a disc in A drive first , then B drive will always say missing disc until I hit retry , then it works perfectly. If I read B drive first , both work straight up.

Cheers,
Rob

Yes.
Drive B is selected whenever drive A is not.
That also the reason for drive B led to be always on when there is no disk activity.

Thanks gerald and dxs  ;D

Awesome news.  Was concerned I had an issue with the drives/DDI.
