External 3" Drive Cases - anyone want to make some?

I wonder if anyone was able to make some 3" drive external cases?  Ideally they would come in 2 types.

1 - black with 12v PSU (for CPC 664/6128 drives)
2 - cream with 5v PSU (for 6128 plus drives) - maybe this one could just use a USB type C

Both would have cabling options for 664, 6128, Spectrum+3 and 6128Plus.  And ideally an on/off switch.  I imaging it would be not much larger than the actual 3" drive.  You could even make a double-height variant with 3.5" drive bay below also.

And... it would let me repurpose my 3" drives taken out of my machines and still access discs once in a while.

if you have removed the drive from the computer anyway you could just attach the external floppy to the 12V of the monitor and add a 5V split cable to feed it 5V, thus eliminating the need for a built-in PSU.

Don't forget That the Old Internal Drive (That you removed) is set to Device 0 (A)
you will have to modify the Drive Circuit board to Device 1 (B)

Are you sure? I never had to do that on my 664 to swap a and b around.

Are you sure? I never had to do that on my 664 to swap a and b around. 

I thought so too, that I swapped internal and external drives without problems. 

However I had to switch the jumper on a Gotek when I put it into the 6128 case. With that in mind,  it could be that the wiring of the FD-1 takes care of swapping the pins for DS0/DS1.
