Nobody seems to be able to answer my question...? So, is the only feature the Amiga write support?

Well, I didn't answer before since I don't know it 100%. What I did read in the forums (and what Nurgle explained to me) is that Rev. C (in contrast to Rev. B) has an additional S-RAM, which is needed to allow Amiga Write support. But if you have Rev. B you can add the S-RAM by yourself for 3 Euros (and I think you need one or two resisters or so).

The reason I was waiting for Rev. C is mainly that I'm thinking of creating a kind of own floppy disc format, let's say the maximum that hardware can provide. So this would be a kind of hard-disc simulation, just by using much tracks, sectors and heads. But I have to get the hardware first before I can seriously think about doing such things.

Ok, it's a minor change then. Nice to have (I guess main use would be high-score and game saving in adventures or sth) but not essential to warrant buying it if you already have the previous one ...

Still, the multi-color LEDs are lovely :)

Bryce

I have a Rev. B and it has the multi-colour LEDs too, didn't they all have that?

Bryce.

Gryzor

Unfortunately no, it was a roulette thing; I got stuck with one from a batch with green LEDs only.

Then buy some SMD1206 LEDs in yellow and red and swap them :D Where's the problem?

Bryce.

Gryzor

But how can you change those LEDs by hand?

Bryce

They are standard SMD parts. Un-solder each end, then solder a new part in it's place.

Ok... will take a look when I get back home tonight :)
