Title: M4 Board. V2.05B3. autoexec.bas problem
Post by: arnom on 15:16, 04 January 19
Hello,

I would like to use the "autoexec" file with my M4 Board V2.05B3 to run command at startup on my 6128, but it doesn't work. When i upload file in root of my sdcard the prompt is freezed and my M4 restart or i get syntax error message.

I have tried many different ways, name the file with uppercase, lowercase, different syntax etc ... Nothing work. I did try also to change the rom configuration " M4 rom in slot 7/6 or lower rom in slot 31" nothing change.

this is the content of my file "AUTOEXEC.bas" :

10 mode 2
20 ink 1,26

save"autoexec.bas

My Rom config :

If anybody have an idea, thank you !

Best wishes !

The same works fine when I try.

Could you email me your romconfig.bin & romslots.bin (or attach here), so I can try with same rom setup as you, to see if its any of the extension roms, that makes it hang.

Did you create your file from a PC or directly from your CPC?

Don't use notepad or whatever!

I made the same mistake by creating on PC in notepad and copying to memory card.

You need to write the BASIC programme on your CPC and save to the M4 using the save command.

Really couldn't find any info about how to do it but someone uploaded a sample file here which wouldn't open in notepad.
