Hi everybody!
First message in this wonderful forum.
I've just received my new M4 from Duke!
I own a cpc464, so I have to set WiFi via variables..
1st question: where can I found some tutorial about upgrading my basic to 1.1?
Other issue.. I've set WiFi and connected from my pc.. then I switched to static IP (by modifying the txt from my pc) everything were ok.
Moved the microsd to pc, copied a bunch of games to microsd (/games) then back to M4... And my CPC won't output to monitor anymore...
After a little troubleshooting I managed to change microsd and do WiFi setting again... But this this everytime I run |netstat my CPC hangs..
Any idea?
Should I try another microsd?
The M4 has firmware 2.04b10
Thank you in advance
Alex

Download the lower 6128 rom from here:
http://www.cpcwiki.eu/imgs/c/c6/OS_6128.zip

Unpack the file and upload it to slot 31 of the M4 board via the web interface

Download 6128 basic here:
http://www.cpcwiki.eu/imgs/f/fb/BASIC_1.1.zip

Unpack and upload it to slot 0 ...

Now in the Web interface, tick "Enable lower rom"
And set "lower rom slot" to 31  (default).

Reboot the M4/CPC

If you make a mistake in the rom setup, it can make the CPC not boot, when the microSD is inserted in the M4.
In this case, take out microSD, insert it to a PC and delete romslots.bin and romconfig.bin from the M4 directory.
Put it back into M4 and start the CPC.

Please update M4 firmware to either v2.0.4 release version or v2.0.5 beta #1
They are available here:

http://www.spinpoint.org/cpc/M4FIRM_v204.zip
http://www.spinpoint.org/cpc/M4FIRM_v205b1.zip

Unpack one of the two to root of the microSD (M4FIRM.BIN and ESPFIRM.BIN).
Insert to M4, and power on the CPC and wait a little...

It's been so long I can't even remember when I received my M4 board.
Can you believe I haven't even had a chance to try it out yet?
I have no clue how to even get started at this point. I'm so far behind regarding firmware and I bet a ton of other stuff.
Oh well... I guess I'll come whining about it when/if I ever get to that point.
Will probably happen when I start seeing lots of CPC users on IRC   ;D

I've deleted the 2 bin files, installed Firmware 2.04
repeated the whole process, and now it works! Thank you! :)
