Only stock CPC/+ here except for mass storage (and maybe a romboard for the future  ;D )

Well, I have a 6128 and a 6128+, and a Symbiface II, but I still have to work it to connect it to one of them.

Internal memory only or also externally?

Only have the usually 464/664/6128 internal memory, but if external counts too, the 464 has 320kb ram, 664 has 576kb ram and the 6128 with SF2 has 1088kb ram.

How do you power 1088kb of Ram? I've got 512K on my std CPC6128 using DkTronics expansion add-ons, and my CPC6128 Plus was modified to 512K by an electronics outfit in the early 90's, so its an internal mod.

Would you take a picture of the mod? It would be interesting to see this.
I am interested to know how they patched the 6128Plus to see the rest of the ram...
EDIT: I am assuming this mod is compatible with dk'tronics?

Yeah, no probs... I think another board was added, but until I open it i'm just guessing. I remember asking him if he could make the CPU faster, and he said it was impossible.

Well the Symbiface 2 comes with 1m ram as standard, so i use a normal pc power supply to power the 12 V (yellow) and ground (black) needed.
Perhaps your real question is how does it work? Usually the SF2 uses the first 512k ram to store the symbiface roms, but if you remove them (and lets face it, you need to load from discs anyway, so you might as well, if you arnt running any other roms) then you got the whole 1m ram for use. Needs to use the 1M version of Symbos to proper access the ram tho. Then again 512k ram is plenty and you wonder if you every are going to need the full 1m ram.

I used to have 512K of expansion RAM, but all the edge connectors are too dodgy now, so I've only got 128K to play with.

Standard 464 & 6128.  The 464 used to have a 64k expansion, but the expansion seemed to develop a fault.

Me, too, standard CPC's with 64/128k.

It was too dark to take a photo with my phone last night, the HTC I have doesn't have a light or flash for the camera... plus my whole house is fitted with low energy saving bulbs and they are not as bright for my camera to get a clear image. I've opened it up, and its as if he's just stacked the memory chips on top of one another with a few wires and some clever soldering. I'm presuming its 512k, it adds up to 512K but I've never been able to properly test it? Its irrelevent anyways as my Symbiface has 1mb I think.

I only have stock CPCs here, so 64K/128K dependant on machine

Stock 6128 CPC/PLUS, one CPC464 too...

So mostly 128K.

But I think it would be cool if a cheap RAM/ROM board was to be produced.

Not the kind of Symbiface with that much extended stuff...

Only RAM...
enough extra RAM to get to 256K + 720K 3"1/2 DiskDrive is simply more than quite enough...

Definitely! I'd buy one for each CPC I own if such a thing was produced.

Me to!

I have both a Vortex 512Kb expansion and a Dobbertin 512Kb expansion. Also I use my two 464's with DK'tronics 64kb expansions.

The german produce fine upgrade cards...

Lot of Romboxes/Symbibox with shitton of extra stuff...

Mouse, Harddickdrive, VGA connector, Clock, Coffee machine and Soap, ROM slots and burner, Mug-heater...

As a result those cool stuff are too expensive, produced in only 20 units, and only supported by the GUI made by the same guy (known as the GUI GUYS). ;D

But all we need is a cheap RAM box upgrading any Amstrad (should work on CPC and PLUS) to 256 or 512K...
or to 320K and 576K if it is a 6128...I've heard some memory expansion disable the existing +64K in 6128...WTF ?
A 320K RAMed 6128 could simply get a full 3" disk's 2 faces...sort of...

and that's all...

Perhaps some little stuff to refresh the RAM more easily...but that's all.

If such stuff was to be done, we should even supply it with specially designed games...

A game like Pirates! made to run in 256 or even 512K...woaw...

And guess what ? 256K is more than enough... (So the stuff is even cheaper...)

From my side, I have a 6128 with an 512Ko extension RAMBOX and a 6128+ with an inicron 512Kb extension.....both work fine.
I have seen on a Polski site that some gyus upgrade their CPC up to 4Mo; does someone got such interface ?

perhaps some kind of Symbiface, no ?
As SymbOS is said to support the 4Meg RAM...

But I see no point having that much...
Are there stuff that may need that much ?

Perhaps better to have an Harddisk drive then...
Er... yep, what about HardDisk ? is it possible to get some kind of virtual memory with it ?
Is it fast ? or just like a diskdrive but with almost unlimited space ?
Can you do Harddisk Access while doing other thing ?

I also wondered : Extra RAM...
Is it possible to put some VRAM or Faster RAM ? or add some sort of DMA stuff in extension port ?
