Hi all.

I got an MP2 in the post today with a view to modding it to output composite.

The PCB is quite different form the well documented MP1 mod and therefore it would help if someone could be so kind as to point out where the COmposite (and ground) can be tapped into on the board or is it just as sensible to take the Modulator off the board altogether and pick the composite signal up from there?

Kind Regards

Craig.

Hi Craig,

The centre pin connects to a 820R resistor (grey- red brown) that comes from pin 9 of the MC1377. I think I've marked the correct point in the picture, but check to be sure (there's a second 820R on the PCB). You need to connect to the end of the resistor that isn't connected to the chip.

The outer contact can be connected to the point marked black.

Bryce.

Thanks @Bryce.

yes the Resitor highlighted is the wrong on, The other one is connectde to pin 9 of the IC. and that then is connected straight into the Video In of the modulator itself. so I guess that gives me a couple of options depending on if I remove the modulator or not.

Resitor leg of R33 or Modulator V.in :)

thanks again

Craig
