I am using an original Multiface II to save my progress in Head Over Heels to DISK on my CPC6128. HOH is a 64k game. The Multiface firmware has options to save memory snapshots to disc or tape. However, new software can be loaded into its RAM to change its functionality.

As the snapshots are compressed, there would be room to save and load a 64k game to the second bank of memory on a 128k machine. This would be much quicker than repeatedly saving to disk.

Does anyone have a way of doing that?

The MF2 does not only save 64 KB of RAM, it also will save the contents of the I/O ports. Where to store this data if you save 64 KB RAM to 64 KB RAM already?
Ok, put it on the stack. ;-)

The source code of the MF2 ROM is available, you can adapt it to have your functionality.  :)

As I said, the snapshots are compressed to around 56k, including the additional port and palette info.
