mx4 expansion board

Hi all


i have just got my hands on an mx4 expansion board cpc my 6128
i have also got a FLASHGORDON for my cpc
plugging the flashgordon into the mx4 and power on shows roman 2.0 which i expected.
i also have a multiface 2 for the cpc but when i connect that to the rear of the mx4 which has the edge connector not plg the system wont power up.
now my question
do i need to feed the 5v to the power connector to use them all at once.

its ok i have it sore of working now as needed to move the jumper by the power in and now i am able to get the mf23 menu up
