Following up on this very interesting topic: https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/hardware-related/psu-question/
(since my M4 is unable right now, too unstable).

Is there a model you recommend for the combinaison described in the title (i.e. MotherX-4 still with the diodes),
plus Nova or Multiface II as a bonus card!

IIUC, "unregulated 5V 3A" should do the trick (unless my the electricity in my London flat is too noisy. How to check that?).
Would this cheap 'CPC' PSU work? https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-elec/pell0024/5v-3a-uk-plug-2-1mm/dp/PW04599

Thanks folks.

Or not: unregulated would work fine for M4 / Symbiface III, not so well for @TotO 's interfaces, right?

At the very end you need to have a Y cable to be able to measure Volts while working with everything being switched on. Some PSUs will drop to 4,5 Volt even - or even lower under load. And there the problems begin.
Here I tested much PSUs for that, but sadly to few to be able to compile a positive list.

Also: Most PSUs drop their voltage when adding more expansions. Now I got a lot of PSUs around here.  :-\

Well, just one would suffice!

It seems the proper solution is two have 2 PSU: one regulated for the CPC + X-Mass + X-Mem + Nova + Multiface II (old-school cards),
one cheaper unregulated for M4 or Symbiface III.
Thanks @Sid_ & @Ast .

I've gone through a few power supplies now and finally found one that's given me the most stable performance on my Plus (no issues with an MX4, X-Mem, Nova and C4CPC - usifac2 is still basically unusable unless it's the only thing connected though...) - this is the one that worked best for me: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142720216458 - I use this to power everything via a cable @ikonsgr made up - so it powers the MX4, the Plus and the GoTek. I measured the voltage on the MX4 and this adapter gives me the lowest drop vs. the CM14 monitor, the power supply from coolnovelties.co.uk and another generic 5V 3A supply I tried from RS Components (which was the worst of all of them, surprisingly).

Thank you for the detailed recommandation. For a regular CPC no need for adaptor, with is a plus (ah!).

How much Volts did you measure actually?
