Title: roms on real cpc
Post by: caver99 on 13:46, 23 August 21
what roms are people using with there cpc's
i have some roms flashed to the flashgordon now but struggling with others
i have the roms collection on my pc and able to use them fine with winape just fine.
i am able to use cpcdiskxp i am able to make floppy images in dsk format to load onto gotek
and read them in to the cpc but a lot say they are unreadable
i have tried to do binary and cpc header.
are there any other tools for making dsk's or getting the roms over to the cpc?

I download existing .dsk files, from CPCPOWER or CPCRulez, delete the contents using Parados and then rename them using File Explorer on my laptop.
Quick & easy. :)

Well, personally I use ROManager 2.37 (on ROM or disc) for FutureOS. It works with any kind of ROM with or without a ROM header. But of course the're other ways too.

If you have a ROM which does not work, you can send that to me and I will have a look if there is a problem.

You can use CPCDiskXP or Manage CPC (or similar) to copy a ROM file to a DSK file. Then put that DSK on your Gotek / HxC floppy emulator SD card.
