yes, I have the previous version, also, it comes with the adapter but apart, At the moment I am using it in the MSX2, but later, I will connect it in the CPC6128, using for it an ASMDAP adapter.

Well, the order page doesn't say it's coming with any adapter, but besides that, does it mean we can use the V9990 with the CPC? Really?

I would love to see a video of it...  :'(

Some years ago I got one with a MX4 adapter, made for CPC.
However, I can't use it, found no monitor which fits and is available for cheap.

You may try one of these: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00YZPKG2S/?coliid=I33OYSYVUGK4L5&colid=2AY1S9ME3QGPO (https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00YZPKG2S/?coliid=I33OYSYVUGK4L5&colid=2AY1S9ME3QGPO)

The V9990 already has a VGA output, but it needs a 15 KHz monitor. However, not everyone does work. Also not every TVmonitor. I bought the same as a friend, it works for him, but not for me.

The CGA converter box linked above converts a 15khz VGA signal to one suited to a normal monitor.

That's the same one I used to get my MSX2 V9990 working with my 'non compatible' monitor

Actually, you recommended it to me... in your patreon  ;)

It is a surprise, because the v9990 IC is no more available since 2018/19.
A nice feature would have been a video input to display everything on the same screen.

That would indeed be very nice!  :) :) :)

BTW: I got an BTX module here for the CPC which does exactly this. Signal from the CPC goes to the little box, from the box into the monitor. It's a kind of GFX expansion too.  ;) :)

Sure, but it was really easy to add a DIN input and a switch for the signals, controlled by a software port.
Last but not least, the V9990 has a super-impose feature that allow to merge two signals in overlay, all on the CTM.

Absolutely!  :) :) :)  Question is... can this be added (well, in at least some way that works)?

Not after... It was clever to thing about how have to be the expansion for the CPC and not selling the MSX concept.

Who can make an Amsdap by the way ?
I ordered a V9990, but not to use it but to lend it freely to any known french Amstrad CPC developper who want to have a go at it.
So if someone is interested, let me know.
