Better results than I expected! If I recall correctly the movie used a cell-shading technique (over rotorscoped video - not animate) so that helps, but still very nice results!

How large is the data file?

Yes you're right :)
From Wikipedia:
"The film was shot digitally and then animated using interpolated rotoscope, an animation technique in which animators trace over the original footage frame by frame, for use in live-action and animated films, giving the finished result a distinctive animated look."

Animations/cartoons generally look OK due to the clear definintion of objects/background/people as do some B&W films.

EG
Animated:
Persepolis
Animal farm

B&W:
The Artist

Unfortunately old B&W films (low-def) don't display too well :(

The data file is 424MB.

Cool - I've seen still images that have been digitised using VIDI, but I've never seen VIDI in action before! 8)

Aye @Nich it was a great piece of kit to use, especially for the someone like myself with no artistic talent.
Vidi and the the Advanced OCP Art Studio were a match made in Heaven.
There is also an overlay file to allow the user to scan directly onto a Stop Press page which I might get a chance to look at some time in the future but the VIDI isn't working 100% just now (edge connector problem) so who knows when.

Anyway for general interest here is a video showing a VIDI demo made on the ST and another for the Amiga by @chinnyhill10 :
