Are you having trouble finding these, or just looking for a cheap source? Because e.g. idc 26 pin male cable | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw=idc%2026%20pin%20male%20cable&LH_PrefLoc=2) (though the prices are terrible). I don't know what electronic component stores you have in Australia? If you're just looking for something dirt cheap then maybe:

You can do a search on ebay for "26 pin IDC male" to get more specific results.

Also you should take into account the pin thickness, I bought these ones and the pins were too thin and the male and female connectors didn't lock.

In the end I bought this, cutted it and used it on a 34 pin female connector.

I had a look at the Transition Connector and thought that they were to short ??

Just make sure that the pitch is 2.54, there are also 2mm pitch versions but these are too small.
