Here's a simple question: Screen output in CP/M is pretty slow on the CPC and PCW. Is there any way to speed it up? Or rather, is there any software modification to speed it up?

Meanwhile, I saw ZCPM3 and ZCCP on retroisle but unfortunately the download links are dead: http://www.retroisle.com/amstrad/pcw/software.php

Is there an alternative download location?

I found it on a demon ftp mirror site.

However, I can't find anything to read it! It's .arc file but the ARC format is not standardised. Anyone know how to open it? I tred 7zip and peazip (pz has .arc support, but it is a different .arc to this). The file itself is attached.

AMSDOS

You'll need a CP/M program called unarc to unpack that arc file. Depending on the files which unpack with it, you might need another program to uncompress those files if they have ?Q? ?Y? or ?Z? in the middle of the extension. CRLZH20.LBR will do all that, but you'll need delbr to unpack that Library file if you do.
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D * And create my own ;)
* Incorporating the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D
