1992?

Short (9 screens) slideshow program using 17K screen-grabs captured by the ROMBO Vidi hardware - one screen is Mode 2 the rest are Mode 1.

From the Newspaper headline, it's at least after late 1988 :)

DISPLAYX.BAS

This comes from the same disk as DISPLAY2.BAS and while sourced from the WACCI library may have actually originated from ROMBO Productions themselves. The extensive REM statements look like a simple tutorial. Mmm - bit of a puzzle this.

If I could make a guessing game out of the the video stills on display, I would say they were Sean Young from Blade Runner and Sigourney Weaver opening the Fridge door in Ghostbusters? :D
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D   * with the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

Well spotted!

That is indeed Sean Young from Blade Runner but the Sigourney Weaver grab is from Aliens.

Also shown are:

"Hicks" again from Aliens, Iggy Pop (his usual charming self) and Brix Smith Start from the UK band The Fall.

There is also a "DISPLAY3.BAS" program on 3.5" disk which has 40 screens but unfortunately it is corrupted.
The program itself is OK but some of the screens are damaged - one day I will use the backup disks to source
new screens and bring it back to life.
