Title: [SymbOS] Problem with APPDDUMP and PCW discs
Post by: Joss on 01:09, 25 February 13
I was trying to write PCW CP/M disc to start a PCW machine with APPDDUMP and a copy of the disc in DSK format with my 6128 running SymbOS. Its the only way I have now to transfer disc images from PC to 3 inch disc. I was getting the error "fomat not known". I thought, PCW discs have the same format as CPC discs ... am I wrong? any help? Thanks!

Hi Joss!

Is the PCW disk you're trying to copy double-sided? If it is, then I think you'll not be able to copy it on a 6128 single-sided drive.

Have you tried with Discology?

If you have an image of the disk you're trying to copy, please post it here so we can take a deeper look.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. They are from amstrad.es (http://www.amstrad.es/pcw/programas/discos-de-sistema.html) and should be the system discs. I cannot use Discology because it makes a copy from 3´´to 3´´and I don't have the physical copy of them .....
