Title: 1986 - Screen Dump 4 - "A WACCI PRODUCTION"
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 07:11, 27 December 19
A quality menu-driven screen printer utility from the WACCI PD library.

Alternatively you could purchase one of the (far more expensive!) commercial Art packages then available to print any screens that you might have.
Black and white only - in fact, colour printing for the CPC didn't arrive until the early nineties when Star Micronics released a (relatively) affordable dot matrix colour printer.

I never got a Printer for my Amstrad, though I remember the Star LC-10 printer, though I never got to see how long it would take to print out a Colour picture or how large the image was, I also remember there being a Colour Screen Dump Type-in for it, which was the August 1989 issue of AA (issue 47), it was in BASIC and created to handle Smart Art Paint images, though could be modified to handle Standard Screens. In later years, I got the impression that Screen Dump programmes were faster if they had been coded in Assembly, but never got to see for myself if that was true. :(
