Hi,

I have the DualOS mod AMSDOS+Parados 1.2+external switch, installed on my CPC6128.

Today, I've downloaded a new ROM: AMSDOS720 (can handle 720kb disks), but I have some questions ...

If I burn my EEPROM with the AMSDOS720 ... my internal 3" drive still working as usual?
I can use the external 3.5" & the 3" drives together?
Disk formats that are supported by the AMSDOS720?

Thanks  :)

Bryce

I assume you have the DualOS on one EPROM in the 6128? If so, you will need to burn both the 720 and ParaDOS to the new EEPROM, otherwise you'll loose the dual functionality.

I never used this ROM but if it is able to detect and handle both format (178Ko & 720Ko) then it should work.
However, you may need an ABBA switch in some cases...

Hi,

Time ago I've made the hardware mod with my lovely W27E257 EEPROMs  :) , the question is not about the mod or the burning process... is about the functionality of the AMSDOS720 rom.

I'm asking because I don't know if the 720k version of AMSDOS can work with the old 3" drives and also which formats are supported by this rom? Games/apps compatibility? ...

Thanks  :)
