Title: Creating Mode 1 graphics...?
Post by: Strident on 21:25, 30 December 19
I wasn't sure which was the best board to post this on...

I've got some pixel art that I want to convert to mode 1 screens. What is the easiest way to do this?

Are there any PC applications that allow you to easily do this and what's the best way to save the files to get them into a CPC emulator?

I've used Multipaint for 8-bit stuff in the past, but that only does mode 0 screens.

I prefer Grafx2 for Windows. It can load different files like png or gif, also scr-files from the CPC.
With that program you easily simulate CPC screens with a ration 1:1 (Mode 1), 1:2 (Mode 0) or 2:1 (Mode 2).

Thanks. Pixel Polizei has been also recommended to me, elsewhere, so I'll give that a try too.

I can suggest ConvImgCPC (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ConvImgCPC).
