Disczines (13) - New Arcade 4 by the Power Group

Top quality French disczine from 1992.

Well presented, user friendly with a good mixture of graphics and music.
Unfortunately I can't read French but I'm sure the text is up to the quality level displayed on both sides of this excellent disc.

Disczines (14) AMSTRAD CPC USER NUMERO 1

Spanish disczine from 1990.

Unfortunately option 5 ("Demo Danadora Concurso/Contest Winner Demo" - what contest?) causes the OSSC to lose sync/recording stops, which is a pity as its a cracking little demo.  Also option 7 causes the same problem but I saw this BASIC program "back in the day" -  it mimics a computer meltdown and could be quite funny if you installed it on an unsuspecting victims 6128 - so time to have a look using an emulator!

This particular disczine seems almost commercial in nature - two demos for Dinamic games (Capitan Trueno/Astro Marine Corps.) and also the full version of Army Moves all on side two seems a little unusual.

Anyone know anything about this?

Update and the sound of a penny dropping:

Pretty nice results in a simple way...

ComSoft6128

I agree - it might look simple, even primitive in comparison to the "glossy" disczines that came later, but it was made using the tools available back then and it works! :)

Incidentally 1987 was the first year that disczines began to appear in any number for the CPC.

Video 16 - Tree 2

Greek disczine from 2002 with articles in English and Greek.
In this video I look at the following menu options:

Editorial
Invaluable Apoththegmatics
Edifying narratives
M/C programming
Scene news
CPC advertisment

As there are many pages of text in this disczine I run thru the English sections quickly and only show a few of the Greek pages.
The music is provided by Soundtracker modules.

Religious and philosophical musings in a 8-bit zine? I guess that's a first!

DISCZINES (20) - Scoop-X-Treme 4/3

Excellent German (with a little English content) disczine from 1993.
The presentation is self-explanatory and the little smooth animation on the opening screen ( which I assume represents the author having just finished his hard work) cracks me up every time I see it!
