Nice to see that SymbOS eventually start to have more serious software. This is for sure a great benefit for this OS and will in addition also push its reputation. To follow the way of having more serious software is imho the good one. So good luck and new serious software, I see you are advancing in great steps!  :) :) :)

As a source of motivation and what could be done I do suggest this link here about comprehensive serious software for CPC in 2024:

It shall be a source of inspiration an motivation.  :) :) :)

Thinly veiled promotion and weirdly of topic in the original thread as it did not include any arguments or pointers whatsoever.. Feel free to discuss it here in its own thread.

Yeah, something we have yet to see from other "operating systems" for the CPC.
** My website ** Some music

My hardware: ** Schneider CPC 464 with colour screen, 64k extension, 3" and 5,25 drives and more ** Amstrad CPC 6128 with M4 board, GreaseWeazle.

Actually both applications are data management systems. The third one to be of interest is the well know Multiplan (even a look at dBase II 2.5.1 is of interest).

Promotion? Yes, I got paid $1000 for posting the link.  ;D :)
