Yes, I've been using NSWP almost as long as I've had the PCW. It's a great help, and usually a convenient replacement for PIP, ERA, and sometimes even DIR as well. The 'tag' facility saves a lot of work, esp when you can repeat everything with A.
I never knew about the 'move' option even though it's 2.07 that I've got now, so I've never found the 'bug'. But other options could bypass the 'move' option, as per: tag files to move, m to mass copy then, a to retag, then erase tagged files.
Using NSWP with the uIDE drives does seem to have a little problem, the calc for filesize seems to be out when extents are involved, so the files do not show as large as they ought to be.
Also, a little oddity with the menu - the Y option to set attributes in fact works ONLY with tagged files, although the menu does not say so as it does for other options.
Pre uIDE NSWP was one of the files I set to system attrib and copied to M: on startup. Now it's OK to leave on C: but with system attrib set so it;s always fully available.

NSWEEP on the CPC is a great tool but on the PCW I regarded it as an essential "must have". I haven't used it on a PCW in about 25 years but if memory serves the combination of NSWEEP and the deeply wonderful Drive M when copying large files (or a large number of smaller files) was in sharp contrast to the 128K of the CPC.
It was on a disc of PD CP/M things that Vik "The Hairy Hacker" Olliver sent out to his friends. I used it for everything afterwards.
I seem to remember using a tiny startup menu program that I think was written by Nemesis. It was definitely essential on their extended-format discs
