Hi,

some years ago, the french paper-fanzine Amslive wrote in its columns that sources from Protext and Maxam are available.

Has someone here got them ?

Thanks.

I have never heard of the sources beeing released. If this is true, Brian Watson should have them. He is the guy who sold the Arnor products complete with printed manuals after Arnor went bust. He also sold drive belts and was quite active on the csa8 newsgroup some years ago. I don't think I have his current email address, but maybe you can find him? Searching for wacci might also help.

You really do need his permission before posting files relating to the Arnor products ;)
So if anybody has the sources, make sure Brian agrees for them to be posted ;)

Would actually be really cool to at least see the sources :-)

My aim is not to get "unauthorized" files but to get further informations about the last Brian's posts about sources here : http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.amstrad.8bit/browse_thread/thread/997a59a8ab605b4a/3c4f92957b327da5?lnk=gst&q=protext+wacci+sources#3c4f92957b327da5
I also read about a dev-project for PROTEXT through WACCI  here : http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.amstrad.8bit/browse_thread/thread/d0aaaf6d0c167e3e/9ea17e5b56c35c02?q=protext+sources+project+wacci&lnk=ol&

Amslive's article was written later, in April 2000 and tells "Maxam and Protext's sources are now available for everybody, to bring improvments or just to look how it's done. Anybody probably doesn't care but it's written."

I had a quick look in comp.sys.amstrad.8bit and Brians last post there were from June 2010. He used brian at imagebus dot co dot uk so perhaps you could email him

Thanks to you, Ivarf, I've contacted Brian who answered fastly by confirming that he has all the discs for Protext and other Arnor products but has to find them. So wait and see...
