Title: Using Xexor to copy a 30 year old 3.5" disk from drive B to 3" disc in drive A
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 16:37, 30 November 21
Xexor is a disc and file copier (and many other things) released in 1993. It was written by Richard Wilson the author of WinAPE the CPC emulator.
Back in the nineties there were really only two disc copiers worth having, Xexor or the French equivalent 'Discology'.  In terms of performance there wasn't much between them in the all important area of disc copying (read: game copying) and I'll be looking at Discology in a later video.
In this video I'm retrieving the program and data files from a suspect (occasional "Drive B read fail" messages) 3.5" disk to a 3" disc for examination and possible use.  I have many hundreds of these disks and expect to be doing this for (yawn) some time.

Trigger warning!
THIS IS BORING................
