Dear All
Does anyone know about ZACK?
Is it ready? Does it work? what can someone do with it?

sigh

Link?

Never heard of this.

Executioner is too busy.
I'm still waiting for my MODE 2 video recording option in WinAPE.... since years ago.  :)

AMSDOS

I've never used it, but I believe Executioner isn't going to finish it if that's what you're wondering.  Though that may not necessarily be a bad thing because I think it's only lacking some SoundFX and some Loaders.

I guess if Richard is reading (or anyone who knows ZACK better than I), can someone easily incorporate M/C Routine into ZACK code?
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D   * with the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

Is there a chance anyone finishes this piece of art? What about Mr Tucker himself?

Ps: Ok Gryzor.

Well, I would appreciate a proper MODE 2 recording too.

I'm trying to re-prioritise a bit and have time to do some CPC related stuff. I think the higher resolution video recording works in the latest pre-release along with a sound fix. Maybe I'll just release it now as 2.0A19.

Rumor has it, ParaDOS was holding this up.  ;)

When I started fixing and enhancing ParaDOS (the Plus version) it had less than 100 bytes free. I had to do lots of optimisations to fit all the new features in. At one stage I was 30 bytes over the limit with my code again when I tried to add support for Backup of MS-800 format 4 (which no-one ever uses anyway). I had about 7 bytes free and after some testing discovered a couple of bugs and I'd left out Escape key processing for part of the Copy function. Somehow I just kept finding ways to optimise a little here and there to squeeze it all in, and ended up with 2 bytes free.

Two full bytes!!  :o You should try to support a few more formats with them  ;D ;D

I was thinking about using another 8K for that :)

Putting it like that doesn't seem a lot, but 2 bytes allows for 15 16 flags ;)

Not 16?

But where do you put the code that uses these flags?

Bryce.

I was joking. And a typo :)

Well, they can be used by hand then.  ;)
