Ok, I got here a German Schneider CPC464 with a "BOS 2.1 SP512" Expansion and a Vortex Floppy, looks really good except the yellowed keys.
Would like to change for other CPC Hardware, but may sell also ;)
Just hooked it up and all keys are working, tape drive is working including the tape reset button. There are some stickers on some keys since someone wanted to have the german keyboard layout, think for using texteditor or something like that but they are removable.
I did not pull out the vortex floppy out of the box but if anyone interested I can do that too .... no test except power on for the drive, since I do not have any vortex discs
Just give me a PM :)
Vortex format is / was the quasi Standard for 3.5" and 5,25" discs back the day (704 KB).
It's also supported by X-DDOS and ParaDOS (VaraDOS = ParaDOS with Vortex format preset).
Here I got the F1-D, which is a double Floppy (5,25") for CPC6128. I like that floppies a lot. IMHO they are really gems. :)
If you use the amsdos80.rom and my super.rom, they have inbulit XDDOS CP/M format suppport which is compatible with the Vortex 704k format with a very high compatability for AMSDOS software on drive b.
Oh, forgot about this thread ... Could someone please close this? The 464 was sold already :)
