It's the new venture by DeAgostini: build your own home computer, we provide everything you'll need in 464 weekly issues.

If there are any amongst you that have recently taken leave of their senses, perhaps you would be interested in this little eBay gem? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/amstrad-cpc-plus-cm14-monitor-/330887278987

[/size]Apparently the screen is fine but its "reflective" so that dubious editing has been done to protect us from the horror of a world rotated 180 degrees and is in no way intended to hide the fact that the screen is completely goosed!!

Also, this thread has now passed the 1000 post mark. Wow. Maybe we should have an eBay sub-forum instead? This would facilitate discussion...

Here's a potential bargain for anyone near Essex: Amstrad CPC6128 Plus Monitor + lots of games bundle rare GX4000 | eBay

Except the 'arrow keys sticking on boot' sounds suspiciously like a fecked keyboard membrane.

Trust me, I did realigned every single key on my Plus and no joy.  Put in another membrane and voila, perfecto.

I think I'll lock this thread now and create a new sub-forum for eBay topics...

steve

This thread brings ebay auctions to everyones attention in a single thread instead of hundreds of threads and should remain, it does not prevent anyone opening a thread to discuss particular auctions if that is necessary.

Gryzor

Why would it be easier to follow in a single, huge thread instead of several, clear-titled ones? Plus, conversation was always problematic here...

steve

This thread was to bring auctions to peoples attention, not really to discuss them, although that happened as well, if you have a lot of separate threads and several are discussed extensively it will drive other recent threads lower down the index page possibly to be ignored by those looking for recent auctions.

If this thread is too long you could delete the first 50-60 pages, they have served their purpose.

Bryce

How about breaking it up per Year so that it doesn't get crazy long. ie: "Latest on ebay 2013"

Bryce.

Border_7

That sounds good... could even go by "Month"  as well.

What about other places like gumtree.com etc? bit of Amstrad stuff there as well...

I have just relisted on Ebay some Amstrad Computer User magazines:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290890774919

and this may be of interest to our Australian members, since I am located in Sydney. Yes, I'm happy to post overseas, but postage is expensive, even printed matter.

***  THESE HAVE NOW BEEN SOLD ***    Thank you to the purchaser.

AND a big thank you to the CPC Forum for helping me sell these !!

Gryzor

@steve: yes, it was to bring auctions to forumites' attention, but also discuss them (otherwise it'd be a closed thread). And you may be right about pushing some threads down the line, but still, how is this worse than going through a huge thread looking for a specific aution? Doesn't compute.

@Bryce/Border_7: this suggestion concedes that there's a problem with current structure, and proposes a half-solution... I see no real meaning in that, apart from having more manageable chunks of ueber-long threads. Yes, it *would* be better, but why not go al the way?

Fergus944,

Thank you Border_7, yes they are Amstrad Computer User, and I have now modified my original message.  I have already sold the Amstrad Action, and I am confused between the two, as usual.  Sorry.

fergus7 - sounds interesting!
I'll put a bid on your magazines before the auction closes as I can collect them from you

Bryce

I know it's not a CPC, but there are a few Coco fans here too and I've haven't seen one in this good a condition for a very long time: Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer 1 (Coco) | eBay

Bryce.

00WReX

Wow that CoCo does look nice.
I have a soft spot for the CoCo range as these were the computers I used a High School.

I have a few CoCo's  :-X  1,2,& 3...but my Original is nowhere near as tidy as that one.
I got it off the original owner and he had done heaps of mods inside and it was so heavily used the silver has worn off a fair bit of it through to the black plastic. I intend restoring this at some point...needs a respray. still works though.

I do have a couple of mint boxed CoCo 2's though.

Cheers,
Shane

lots of disks here 3" for those that need blanks:

AMSTRAD CPC, PCW, SPECTRUM, TATUNG EINSTEIN BLANK 3" DISK DISC | eBay

Edit, I bought them all. Who wants to volunteer archiving the software on them?

robcfg

Hi!

I'm particularly interested in PCW software, and I can dump them. Only thing is, I live in Spain.

If you don't find anyone near to where you live and you don't mind sending them, I'd dump them and return them to you as fast as I can.

Regards,
Rob
