Does anybody intend bidding on this?

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Small-C-Entwicklungssystem-Schneider-CPC-Verlag-Markt-Technik-/270818170112?pt=Klassische_Computer&hash=item3f0e055500

Might be nice to have for the Wiki :)

Bryce.

Ooh this nice...

Shall we put together a small fund? Shouldn't be too hard... I can transfer everything to digital format, then ship it off to the person offering the most money maybe, how's that for a viable mechanism?

Great, but we need to decide who bids on it. I can do this if you want (so that the postage is kept to a minimum). I can also do the scans and Disk dumps.

I've cast an eye at it. :)
Looks interesting, but if there is someone else wanting it, I'll not touch it :)
Wouldn't mind a dump of the disks though!

Ok, should be less trouble for you, since the auction is "Germany-only". How shall we decide on the payment?

The disk dumps and a good scan of the manuals is perfectly fine with me. :)

Ok. I will bid on it and share it on the Wiki. Anyone reading here: Please don't bid on it. You'll get it here anyway for free. If anyone is interested in owning the original for collection purposes, I can sell it on to them for the same price after I've scanned and disk-dumped it.

Let's worry about the money side of things when I've actually managed to buy it.

Bryce.

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside by all the communal feeling here :D

I can chip in (especially since I lost that Captain Blood auction.... *sigh*), and can also help with scanning: I bet you have your hands full with more important things nowadays than scanning (and OCRing?) 200 pages... :)

Bryce

At four o'clock in the morning, having been woken for the third time that night, you wouldn't believe how much OCRing and scanning you can get done :D

Bryce.

Gryzor

Well, there's that, too; you get more hours for your day (or night) :)

Still, my offer stands!

Bryce

Let's get it bought first, then we'll worry about what needs to be done.

Another large Game collection, not quite the 4000 on offer in the UK, but 86 different games and he had the decency to list them:

Already noticed it. I'm getting warmed up to cassettes, so I might just get these.

There are thousands of CPC related auctions on ebay, this thread would be more helpful if it featured auctions that some of us would actually bid on, the auctions with insane prices should go in another thread for insane sellers.

Well, it *was* the best port out there :D

He doesn't even know how to use eBay and BuyNow:

Master scan, no instructions or software and I don't know if the price is reasonable or not - depends if you want one I suppose.

Bryce

I didn't manage to get Small-C by the way. I had set my limit at €30, which is actually more than I thought it was worth. It sold for €34 + €4 Postage.

I do think the Master Scan is for PCW only (aka dont work on cpc). I did spot it earlier and the price is resonable, but as pcw and cpc dont have the same screen size i fear it isnt compatible. Of cause the box does look the same-ish but id rather not take the chance.

More about he master scan (and the cpc dart scanner) here, down the page:

Just thought I'd point to this for any collectors out there, that might be interested, it might have been missed as it's listed under C64:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/FOOTPEDAL-ATARI-COMMODORE-C64-AMIGA-CPC-NEU-/380374767946?pt=de_entertainment_games&hash=item58901a594a

He's has several of them, all brand new in OVP, selling at €7.99 and will ship world wide. I've no idea what software supported it though.

Bryce.

SyX

If i remember well, the foot pedal goes to the joystick port and you can configure with a few switchs which joystick direction will match to each pedal. It was funny play to the Lotus Sprit in Amiga with one of them  ;D

Bryce

Is it 64K or 128K ? :D

Bryce.

Gryzor

Yeah, saw them too, I'd like one (tough the old logo would be better), but the wife would have none of it...

Gryzor

A PCW9512. Looks lovely, collection only.
