With the Plus range you always need to be a bit patient. However, if you check everyday, from time to time appears a "Buy it now" sale with a decent price. Problem is that it is necessary to be lucky and quick! A few months ago I saw a very nice 6128 Plus with games that went for less than 100 pounds. Problem is that in only lasted like an hour  :-X

Hi All

I picked my 6128 Plus up from RobBay for 70 Euro and 60 Euro for Postage to Australia.
With Burning Rubber and Joypad all slightly yellowed.
But after fixing it it works very well. Nice little compact machine.

All these computers are very sturdy, the only thing that can be really wrong in the Plus range is the ASIC but, besides that, everything else is replaceable. The ASIC too... but it would be quite difficult, at least in my hands. In that regard, the sturdiest are still the classic models, where you can replace/socket almost everything :)

Except the  464 and 6128 cost down  :-X

||C|-|E||

Yes... those also have a complex SMD gate array that is quite difficult  :-X

"PLASTERED IN STICKERS"

It's almost like they're making that a selling point!  :o
An expanding array of hardware available at www.cpcstore.co.uk (and issue 4 of CPC Fanzine!)

Gryzor

Well a better selling point would be "IT BELONGED TO A FEMALE USER!!!"

I like the stickers. I would buy it just for those if I had the money.

reidrac

If I had a 6128 I would consider making games for 128K
Released The Return of Traxtor, Golden Tail, Magica, The Dawn of Kernel, Kitsune`s Curse, Brick Rick and Hyperdrive for the CPC.

If you like my games and want to show some appreciation, you can always buy me a coffee.

I had a figure of About $100.00 Aus that i would bid up to, as they are appear to be very rare here.
It is an Untested 664, and i believe that the Keyboard membranes are flakey.
No I won't be Putting in an Offer. $330.00 Aus is ridiculous.

All those issues occurred to me as well, unsure if new membranes are available, for some reason I thought you were flogging it off as a bargain  :D  They are a rare machine, probably not quite as rare as a 472, but still rare given the circumstances it came out when computers were moving from 64k to 128k.

Yeh, have not logged on in months.

I did see this when it was 1st posted. It also had a buy it now of $200 which I momentarily thought about doing (but I really do not need another 664) so I did not.  Seems I should have bought it for $200 and put it straight back up for sale and made money on it  :P :D

Think I have mentioned before that I consider myself lucky getting a 664 years ago.
Got one for $57 AU fully working with a CTM monitor, system disks, Joystick.
Also around the same time I got a mint working Schneider 664 with 64k DK'tronics memory expansion for $90 AU delivered from Holland.
The 472 did cost me a bit more though...

As was mentioned, the keyboard membranes can be flakey (although I have not had an issue with my 3 664's).

Since 2012 re-manufactured replacements are available...

I remember you bringing around a Schneider, but that was a 6128 Schneider I think.

I dare say that guy wasn't in the Trading post, but he was still Dreaming!  ;)
