I guess when no one else sells it on ebay and that's all you can find they feel they can charge what they want - sigh  :picard:
The gotek with a custom exterior to fit the 6128 with oled and rotary encoder was not much more than that

That's a lot less than the last 2 working ones went for. One sold for more than that a couple of years ago with a missing vic3 chip.

Yepp... so - go for it  ;D

... wondering if the CPC Arnold Prototype would achieve similar bids?

According to

https://cpcrulez.fr/hardware-464-CPC_uncovered.htm
it was sold on Ebay for only 620 GBPs... is the owner of this masterpiece with us here?

The price for the three books is tempting me, but the shipping costs to Spain cost almost the same as the books ...

Paper is heavy. The postage costs are actually quite reasonable.

But will the new car be the envy of all of us?

robcfg

I think it's the first time I've seen the 664 user manual...

Ok, the computer is boxed and in excellent condition and the add-ons too, so it's not going to be cheap, but that price is way too high.

Should I buy a new car - or a CPC 664?   :D 8) Spoiler alert - (used) new car is cheaper  :D

@robcfg: I have the original Manual for my 664.

I'm no expert so is the RS232 with Protek 1200 modem really worth £500 plus postage?
Seems a bit steep to me.

I admit I would LOVE to own a brandnew Schneider Euro PC, it's just that I also need a new car:

1.board not present in cpcwiki. (a19)
2.Amstrad uses st eeproms, not amd. But amd manufacture this chip from 88.

3.back solders appear normal from factory?.

I'd love one. My mate had one back in the day and we would play 2 on 2 on it for hours so it's probably the only PC I have a soft spot for. But that guy must be crazy :D

Bryce

Most Euro-PCs die when the battery (right in the middle of the PCB) leaks. I wouldn't pay any price without a picture of the battery area.
