What you call reality is purely POV. There is no law of nature defining things at 'retro', this is all man-made definition. And nobody agrees anyway. Same with cars... How old is an oldtimer?  :)

But we're getting really offtopic

My point wasn't about the age of retro computers, rather what they cost. And the fact (not pov) remains: The price of a retro computer is not related to the processing power of the item.

Bryce.

TFM

Well, you're right for ebay, but not when buying a computer from FutureSoft  ;)

I've got a fully working HP-85 with accessories, manuals and software... a strange beast (with a processor that operates in binary coded decimal) that I rescued from certain death. They seem to be reasonably valuable hp-85 in Vintage Computing | eBay

If only 6128s were that cheap in Australia... I'd hate to know what it will be once the auction finishes.

Must have been a free listing.. poor deluded individual.

Now, now, guys. I'm sure it's a misunderstanding.
What I infer from this auction is that the guy has serious problems with placing the decimal point at the right position.

So it's an Amstrad  61,28 he's selling? :D

Bryce.

MaV

Correct! With a 20,00 DMP printer and a CM 0,14 monitor. :P

Damn that's a small monitor.

Really, can't wrap my head around the stupidity of this auction.

TFM

This guy is not stupid. He is a visionary. Because he can see the Euro collapsing.
