I have never laid hands on an MSX system and yes it does look nice but given the price I'd prefer getting a new 6128. Its actually weird that these machines never took off in Europe.
I think their marketing was pretty much non existent... I only knew one guy who had a MSX back in the day.
You have a point, at least in Greece i dont remember ever seeing an advertisement on any of the major printed media of the time , "Pixel, User, Pc master etc etc"

Funny thing about that classmate of mine... All the cool kids at school had a computer (well, all four of us I guess 😂) and his dad kept postponing buying one because he was "waiting for something better' to come on the market. And he went with... aMSX. Poor Spiros, he didn't have a chance at swapping games...

Not as frequently as for the "mainstream" systems of the day but there were a few....

I find it expensive for a MSX1, but it is nice. I got a MSX2 for around 100€ some time ago. But in the area of Belgium/Netherlands there are a lot of MSX. A lot of influence by Philips and there are many MSX users.
