If they go for those prices then maybe someone should start manufacturing them again :)

Do you have any more cupboards to go through? :D

ComSoft6128

There is a damaged RS232 and another (OK?) RS232 somewhere in a box but I would need a team of miners to find it :o

At those prices you can afford to pay the miners top wages for the job!

He's trying to sell a Bruce Lee disk for £700. (Maybe it's autographed??)

Skunkfish

Pah, the case is damaged... I wouldn't pay a penny over 650.

Probably, everything else being flogged doesn't seem too expensive. :)

Yeah damn, I missed a trick there,  I sold a complete boxed PCW a couple of years ago, ok it wasn't unopened like that but complete, so I should have got atleast $12,500 all the same, not the £70 I think I sold it for.

More like Rhodium, which is about 5-6 times as expensive as gold.

I guess if you have extraordinary amounts of money and nothing else to spend it all on your might buy this old stuff.  I presume all the guff about first computer etc is actually just background to the apple 1 and this is nothing extra special?

Animalgril987

No, I think it's just an ordinary Apple 1.

We'll, there are only 63 in existence and they were built by Woz himself, so a million sounds about right...

The big problem here isn't the asking price, rather proving that it's one of the 63 originals. It's too easy to make a copy that would be almost impossible to tell apart from the originals, and with an asking price of $1.5M there's a lot of good reasons to put time into doing that.

Not that I have that kind of money, but I couldn't put anywhere near this value on what is to me little more than a boat anchor.  I couldn't care less if Jesus made it (unless it gave me eternal life, health and happiness), let alone Woz.  Even if I had a million spare I can think of much better ways to use money.
