Hi all.
The ACU Type-ins project is finally underway again.
It took a very long time to organise/categorise/consolidate the dsk files sent to me by Tasteful Mr Ship (big thanks to him for all of his hard work - truly an amazing effort).
I'm keeping a mini-blog at the top of the page to let people know of the project's progress.
http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins (http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins)
There's still a heck of a lot of work to be done, but at least it is no longer behind-the-scenes stuff. It is finally visible progress!
If anyone has any suggestions, or just observations, please let me know.
This project is very special to me, and I'd like to make it as good as possible (bearing in mind that it is being done in my very limited spare time).
Man, you amaze me with your dedication... Thanks so much!
Thanks for the kind words Gryzor.
I must admit, I'm really enjoying this project. I feel as though I'm giving something valuable back to the community.
Also, cpcWiki seems to be a lot faster lately. It's really noticeable when doing lots of uploads and edits, and things are nice and snappy at the moment.
A quick update:
- August-September 1984 is complete.
- October-November 1984 is complete.
- January-February 1985 is complete.
It's great to see that you put so much effort into the project. Now also lazy people, like me ;), can use those programs, too.
One idea for the ACU article (generally for every mag): The overview in the ACU Type-ins article of the different months is really good. This should be used in the ACU article, too and maybe we can also do this for other magazines like the CPCAI (I will have a look at it when I am at home this weekend). What do you think about that?
This is a great idea IMHO!

Ok, I just updated the ACU article to the index of the type ins article. Looks good, plus: you can now add the article for a magazine issue with one mouseclick :).
A lot of bug fixing must have gone into this. I clearly recall taking an issue of ACU in to school for my teacher to help me bug fix the type in as it was pretty dodgy. I think it was the December 86 issue off the top of my head. It had a picture of a punk guy playing pinball. I never got that program to work in the end. My teacher & I gave up...
That wasn't the only time I had problems with ACU type ins

I'm not entirely sure I know what you mean about the overview. Can you give me an example?

I'm not really sure to be honest, as my involvement in the typing-in of all these programs has been minimal. I'm just creating the pages on cpcwiki. :)
tastefulmrship and Johnny Olsen were responsible for the bulk of the typing-in work, with a bit of help from some others.
There were a few minor differences between versions, where I received the same program from different people, and I've done my best to consolidate those differences.

Well, what I mean was the overview with all covers for the ACU, which you created in the article of the ACU Type Ins project. I already changed the ACU (http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Amstrad_Computer_User) article to look like the ACU Type Ins article (with the cover overview and links to the articles).

Fantastic stuff!
Indeed great, looks lovely this way!
Hi Themis.
I have a little request... could this topic please be moved to the CPCWiki Discussion forum?
I don't know why I didn't create it there in the first place!

Ask and ye shall find :)
...aaaand done!
Outstanding!
Thank you kind sir!
:)
March 1985 is now complete.
Hehhhh great work mate... I'm looking at the page and it looks very impressive!
Only yesterday I was considering replacing the homepage related image with one promoting the forum, but now that I see the project is till on and hot I'll just leave it there :)
[EDIT] Actually, I just figured out how to make the image be a link to your page, so I did it :)
Fantastic!
Thanks for linking to my page.
Although I think the forums are more important... do you think it would be a good idea to promote the forums, and have a smaller image linking to the acu type-ins?
Eventually I think I will... Though maybe you're right and the focus should be on it. But if I do it as you suggest it'll get a bit cluttered. Maybe we should have a 2x2 matrix linking to 4 projects - type-ins, forum and a couple of others?... Just wondering...
Yeah, a 2x2 matrix is a great idea.
Although to be honest I'm not that up-to-date with happenings in the cpc world, so I can't suggest what the other 2 might be.
Certainly a 2x1 (horizontal) matrix for the type-ins and the forums may be a great start. :)
Yeah... good idea. I'll take another foto (maybe green monitor) with the Forum tag and up it, though when that will be I don't know... :(
Excellent!
I look forward to the update!
Where on earth did the last couple of months go? ???
Anyway, April 1985 is underway.
Yay :) Glad to have you back!!
Hi everybody.
I have decided to move the ACU Type-ins project to my own webspace, so I won't be adding to the version on cpcwiki anymore.
This is because:
- I don't want to risk the wiki disappearing again (even briefly)
- the inability to edit the wiki at the moment is frustrating (although understandable)
- my connection to the wiki (from Australia) is incredibly slow
- writing the mediawiki code is quick, but testing it is time-consuming
- uploading dsk files and screenshots is even more time-consuming
I'm just wondering what you all think... should I link to the project on my website from here?
I guess the answer to that is definitely yes!
But the next question is a bit trickier... should i remove the stuff done so far here on cpcwiki?
I think I should, as all of it will be replicated (and improved) on my website, and in fact the completed (on cpcwiki) issues of ACU are almost done on my site (although the current version has not yet been uploaded to my website).
This may also reduce some of the bandwidth required to host the wiki (depending on how popular the type-ins page becomes in the future!).
Thoughts?
To see the initial upload of my website, click the link in my sig.
The live version doesn't have much flesh on its bones yet, but the current dev version should be uploaded soon.
Why don't you use booth?
- Your space
- CPCWiki
I think the ACU Type-ins project is working well here.
(Just a suggestion)
I briefly considered utilitising both, but then realised that my workload to complete (and maintain) the project would be significantly increased.
Unfortunately I only have time to work on the version on my website.
[EDIT] Actually yes, I've thought about it, and I can utilise both.
What I think I will do is to provide a page here which links to each ACU issue's page on my website. Then it can still be part of cpcwiki, to a limited extent.
[EDIT #2] I just realised that I can use the project's front page here, as is!
All I have to do is point the links to my website, instead of to pages on the wiki. So the front-end to the project will still look the same here.
EVERYBODY WINNAR!!!111
[EDIT #3] Except no, I can't. :(
I get the following when I try to put an external link onto the page:
Your edit includes new external links. To help protect against automated spam, please type the two words you see in the box below:
This reCAPTCHA key isn't authorized for the given domain.
I realise that editing the wiki should be avoided at the moment, but hopefully when editing is ok again, this'll be taken care of too.
Hello mate,
Let me address your points:
-The wiki is never going down in the sense that (I take it) you fear - even if I ever withdraw from the scene I will pass it on to someone else as I've stated several times
-Yeah, sorry about the short downtime, that was, of course, out of our hands :) But the same can happen with any provider...
-I'll try find a multiple-file upload solution to make work easier (it hasn't worked in the past).
Now, of course, noone can force you to continue updating the wiki pages. I guess you can also take down the material (although, legally, I think it belongs to the wiki, I always felt that the contributions belong to the contributors, not to the resource itself). But: the point of the CPCwiki is to bring all knowledge together, even if it means duplicating it...
If you decide to move it to your own project page, I will give it all the support/promotion I can from within the wiki, with many thanks for the wonderful job you've done. But first, I'd suggest that we worked out the difficulties... Like the CAPTCHA. Had no idea. Can you give me some step-by-step instructions of what you're trying to do?
Thanks :)
Themis
Hi Themis.
Have no fear - I won't be removing any content from the wiki.
I have way too much respect for the wiki to do something like that. :)
What I think I will do is keep things the way they are here, but also provide links to the pages on my website, from this page:
http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins (http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins)
Perhaps I'll call them "old link" and "new link" or something. Not sure yet...
Anyway, as an example of what I'm trying to do...
I'd like to put this onto http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins (http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins):
http://www.users.on.net/~ervin/page2.html
And that raises the CAPTCHA problem.
Am I doing something wrong?
Incidentally, I'm perfectly happy for my html version of the project to be mirrored here in its entirety, if that is actually possible. What do you think? Would that work?
[EDIT] Actually, if a working multiple-upload facility could be provided, it'd be easier and quicker for me to continue the project here rather than on my own webpage, in which case I wouldn't need to use links to an external site.
Cripes, I must sound terribly confused! :-\
Hmphhhhhh I'm trying to resolve the ReCaptcha module problem. It's due to the domain change - the keys I had set up were only valid for the old domain (as a precaution). I changed the keys, but can someone test it? I'm getting an Open Socket error - most likely that's caused by the server rather than the module, but I'd like to know if I'm the only one?
I do have a solution to add external links without requiring the Captcha module, but the problem will persist in other actions where anti-spam is required... so plase do let me know if you're getting the same error.
Off to see if there's a multiple-file solution :)
Ok, Multiple Uploads working again, with a minor(?) issue: when you upload the files, the shown page will be empty. But your files have been uploaded with their proper filenames. I tried it with:
http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Image:Metal.png
http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Image:pq_portraits_icon.png
http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Image:PacInTimeSheet2.gif
and it seems to work fine. Would you care to test it and tell me if it works for you, too? :) Also, tell me whether 5 uploads are enough or not for you...
[EDIT] I fixed the empty page. It's not very helpful as it is, but that's what the extension offers... at least it does tell you the file was uploaded correctly!
Ah, thanks Themis.
I'll give multiple uploads a go in a day or two.
If they work nicely, I think I'll resume the project on cpcwiki.
Good :)
OTOH, and I want to stress this point, if you want/decide to withdraw the project from here and set up a new resource, I won't hold a grudge against you! :D
Hi Ervin
I think the type-ins project is soo cool and a I hope it stays on the WIKI!

That would be a very dishonourable thing to do.

Thanks Ygdrazil. You have nothing to fear.
And I've sorted out and simplified a lot of the stuff I was doing, so updates should be much more frequent from now on.
Also, I've reinstated the link in my sig to the cpcwiki version of the project.
Alrighty, I've resumed updates and have added more content to April 1985.
(I added The Musical Amstrad part 2).
Unfortunately, the images I uploaded (whether by single or multi-upload) don't seem to be working via the normal style of coding.
In fact, when I uploaded the images, I got this message:
Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10363 is not allowed to access /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/images/thumb/6/6b/Acu_music2.png owned by uid 48 in /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/includes/media/Bitmap.php on line 217
Ah crap. This is a host issue.
Markus, can you help? It appears that your host has enabled safe mode for PHP. Do you have access to php.ini? If so, can you add the following?
safe_mode = Off
If we can't do that I do have a couple of workarounds, but they're precarious - they might break other things. So let's wait for Marku's reply...
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
Hi Gryzor.
Just wondering if there has been any luck solving this issue?
I'm itching to add more content to the project. :)
safe_mode cannot be turned off...
It's called safe mode, because many things are much safer than without safe mode ;D
Sorry guys

That makes perfect sense and is completely understandable.
But how do I upload images and then have them display in the wiki?
The old method isn't working anymore.
As an example, I'm using the following code to display a screenshot, but it is causing the safe_mode warning message:

Safe mode is actually a lot of bull crap. It's so wrong that the PHP devs have dropped it from the latest versions. In their own admittance, safekeeping should NOT be done at PHP level - what they do is cover for mistakes in other system config areas. It's like disabling POST in apache in order to prevent code injection*. See here (http://php.net/manual/en/features.safe-mode.php). I wonder if the host could be persuaded to upgrade their PHP version - I've seen providers that do that.
Anyhow, apologies for the delay, hectic past few days here :( I'll try a workaround or two. But what I don't get is why I *can* upload images - I tested it before announcing it, and with an account with no admin privileges, no less :(
Oh, also, I see that I left the debug notifications on, apologies about that - you shouldn't see these errors :D
*example may be totally shite, I'm just saying...
Ah crap... I uploaded a test image, and posted it here: http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Test . It appears fine!!!!! But the image you uploaded does not (broken placeholder before the chimpanzee)
So I downloaded your image and uploaded it again, and now it appears on the page above (after the chimpanzee)!!! WTF?
So I need you to tell me *exactly* what you did - can you? You can contact me via MSN or google talk if you want and we'll do it real-time...
Hi Gryzor.
Here's what I did:
- click Multiple File Upload in sidebar on cpcwiki front page
- browse to relevant files (in this case acu_music2.png, acu_music3.png, acu_music4.png)
- click Upload File button
The next page that appears has all this at the top:
Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10363 is not allowed to access /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/images/thumb/6/6b/Acu_music2.png owned by uid 48 in /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/includes/media/Bitmap.php on line 217

Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: Invalid filename in /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/includes/media/Bitmap.php on line 217
For a single file upload I do the following:
- click Upload File in the sidebar on the cpcwiki front page
- browse to the file (in this case acu_music2.png)
- even before I click any other buttons, the following appears at the bottom of the page:
Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10363 is not allowed to access /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/images/thumb/6/6b/Acu_music2.png owned by uid 48 in /var/www/vhosts/cpcwiki.eu/httpdocs/includes/media/Bitmap.php on line 217

Hi Gryzor & Devilmarkus.
Can I ask a favour?
Would one of you please remove the following files from the wiki's file repository?
acu_music2.png
acu_music3.png
acu_music4.png
acu_mus2.png
acu_mus3.png
acu_mus4.png
There seems to be something going on with acu_music2 (and 3 and 4) that is causing those safe mode errors.
I don't get the errors for other file uploads.
Really weird... ???
Once they are gone, I'll try re-uploading them.
(And I'll recreate the screenshots as well).
Hi Ervin
Nice to see your type ins project coming along!
I got the same problem! :-\ This problem is due to a file permission setting on the new server. Theres probably nothing wrong with your files :D
I know the CPCWIKI team is working to resolve this matter!

I'm on it... my guess is, those images were uploaded during some config experimentations and they don't work now. I'm having some difficulties with them, but I'm not ignoring it :)
Cool. Thanks Gryzor.
Don't mention it, but can I ask something? Can't you just reup them under slightly different filenames?

I don't know this will work..
I also tried to upload a JPG under a different filename.
Wiki told me that another copy already exist.
There seem to be more problems with image handling...
(I've tried this from 2 computers)
If I load the pages for ACU 1984 issues, or 1985 issues up to April, the pages load, but the images don't. This includes images which were uploaded a long time ago, well before any of the problems with changing host.
I'm pretty certain the other images worked yesterday.
[EDIT] It seems to be a problem on the other pages in the project as well.
Can someone else please confirm that you are getting the same behaviour?
[EDIT 2] And if I click the spot where an image should be appearing, and then click the link to display the image, I get this (for example):
Not Found
The requested URL /images/Acu_april_1985_cover.png was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at cpcwiki.eu Port 80
confirmed
It seems that the move to the new server has improved a few things.
First of all, the wiki seems much quicker now, which is excellent.
Second, image upload seems to be working nicely now.
Unfortunately, although I can upload images, I still can't put thumbnail versions into the ACU type-ins project, as thumbnails appear to be broken.
To confirm this, I just had to upload an image, and then link directly to that image.
For example, go here:
http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/File:12.png (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/File:12.png)
The thumbnail column in the File History section doesn't work.
The ACU Type-ins page for April 1985 is eagerly awaiting a fix. ;)
The thumbnails don't work because safe-php limitations.
Maybe it is possible to upload manually made thumbnails and link them to higher resoluted images?
Please check this.
Cheers,
Markus
Hmm, I am a bit lost now... So what is the actual working version of the Wiki? And what about the old changes? Will you do that or do I have to resubmit them?

Gryzor wants to submit all new changes from old wiki to the new one.
But if you want, you can submit your changes, too.
I just mailed again to my webprovider to change safe-php restrictions to normal.
Maybe this helps.
If not:
- Image upload will work :)
- Thumbnails not :(

Yep, looks like it is possible.
Bit of a pain, but bearable.
[EDIT] Woohoo!!! The April 1985 page finally has some new content!!!
Can someone knowledgable in mediawiki coding please check how I've done the code for this section? Is it technically correct?

This has made my day!
Thanks Devilmarkus!
And not only that!
I also added a FLV mediaplayer plugin today.
Example is here:
http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Digitracker_Video
The code is quite simple. (I will explain it later, it's late now....)
I also worked on an upload module... Hope that I can finish it tomorrow.
It allows to upload files with independent filesize.
I think, I will protect this uploader with htaccess, so all distributing users will get a password to upload large files.
(Will check that tomorrow)
Good night, forum!
That flv player plugin is excellent!
Maybe I'll be able to use it for bits of the type-ins project... we shall see.
April 1985 is complete.
The article looks great.
Also, great news (I'm surprised Markus didn't mention it: PHP mode was turned off.
The funny thing is, I had just spent three consecutive mornings trying to get it to work and I think I finally did, on my local server, and then everything turned out fine :) So we're problem-free, for now!
Yes, things are looking really good now.
The extra speed on this new server is sensational too!

Yes, CPC-font FTW! :)
I've tidied up the pages for the first 5 issues of ACU type-ins (August/September 1984 through to April 1985).
They represent the "look and feel" of how I'd like to make the project look.
What do you all think?
May 1985 is complete.
Still going strong... great job :)
May 85 is here: http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_May_1985_-_Type-ins
[EDIT] Ah crap! I think I had typed the Cargo King in!!!
Good to have you back Gryzor.
Ah yes indeed - the type-ins project has settled into a nice comfortable place now.
I've standardised all the code up to June 1986 (which itself will soon be complete), I've standardised image filenames, etc etc etc.
It's all looking good.
June 1985 is complete.
Hurray :) How many left? :D
Several. ;)
July 1985 will begin very shortly.
I admire your courage, hope it lasts through 2010 :)
Hehe, yes indeed.
It is a far bigger project than I had ever imagined.
But I intend to finish it. ;)
Yay for you :)
Now if we could have the AA listings, too...!
Well, I've just finished redoing all the existing pages, and the stub pages for every issue, with a standard naming convention.
Took ages, but it'll make subsequent updates a lot easier and quicker.
Wish me luck!
Yes, I saw the flood of changes... :D Thanks so much mate :)
July 1985 is complete.
Oh, it's Summer 85 already? Got my 464 around then, I think... :)
I must have got mine a few months earlier, as I clearly remember typing in the games from the earlier issues of ACU.
Those were the days... sigh...
"Sigh" is the key word here, indeed. We should have stayed kids... :`(
I hear ya dude... I hear ya.
God I miss those days so much...
Oh yes...
here's a little (off-topic) story about missing things: when I was serving in the army I got ill with mono. This is not serious if you take care of it, but it really, really saps your energy. I didn't have the luxury of resting, so I developed a few physical symptoms and then (out of the tiredness) some sort of depression.
So, when I was at my lowest, psychologically speaking, sometimes old memories would flash by. These included the smell of my CPC machines and the tapes, for instance, or -just for the tiniest second- the sensation of being happy, playing those old games back then...
Goes to say how much some things stay with you, even at a subliminal level...
Sounds funny, but I get that sort of thing quite a lot.
Little things (I often don't even know what) take me back for brief moments, and I remember specific times in front of my 464 back as a child. Yes, very powerful memories indeed.
Yeha... the funny thing is, I still get it sometimes, but it's not an actual memory but the feeling of it: an emulated moment, if you will, of how I felt back then... These things must be engraved somewhere in our brains, although why, I can't say.
Yes, an "emulated moment"!
A perfect term to describe the feeling!
Incidentally, August 1985 is now complete.
This is a great title for a song, or a painting, or something... :D
I saw you completing Aug.85. Superb :)
September 1985 is complete.
October 1985 is complete.
Catching up!
I did some typing-in this past weekend, thanks to your contributions, and me and my girlfriend had some good laughs... :)
Yeah, I'm finding it fascinating messing with the type-ins as well.
They're lots of fun.
Shows how easily we were satisifed back then though doesn't it?
All part of the learning experience really innit?
Well, the funny thing is, if you find yourself in the right frame of mind they can still be fun. I mean, some of them are very interesting in their interaction etc, and form a historical point of view, and that's why even my girlfriend had some fun with them... (she then went on to our arcade cabinet and fired up a Sega Megadrive emulator, but that's another story).
Apologies for bumping up this old thread.
For some reason I thought the ACU type-ins was completed, since writing that last sentence I did some digging and found @Johnny Olsen (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=118) saying that in the Splotch uploaded (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/games/splatch-uploaded/) thread :D but it seems it's only everything between 1984 & Jan 1989 which has been completed along with May 1992, everything after that is drawing a blank, though 1989 I think was when ACU started the 10 Liners and I know @Nich (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=53) had a whole bunch of Disk Images of those (trying to convert them to work on a 464 if possible) which CPC-Power has used along with the odd Main Game Listing.
Anyway in 1991, ACU ran a 7 part BASIC tutorial series. Despite the presentation and typos it may have suffered from in the hands of ACU, this one offered some extra challenges by Glynne Davies throwing in some extra problems to add to the programs, it didn't happen on every occasion, though I guess you could say when other similar programs were included from previous parts, it was a way to further development. I've almost completed all the programs from the series and have done an disc image which will have 54 programs on it, and thought it would be a good guide to have on CPC-RULEZ.

Those disc images I compiled are still available on NVG (ftp://ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/cpc/typeins/). Many of them have been altered slightly, so they aren't
exactly the same as the published listings.
I uploaded a lot of 10-Liners to CPC-POWER a couple of years ago, and they have been checked against the published listings and any corrections have been documented. If you're going to compile disc images of
ACU Type-Ins for CPCWiki then please use the versions on CPC-POWER as a source. :)
I think I might still have a number of type-ins which I never uploaded to the ACU type-ins Project pages.
Maybe it's time that I got back into that project!

Those disc images on NVG also included your notes for each program along with a rating. I recall you making a note in that guide where you able to get the program to work on a 464.

Well at the moment I'm just working on the BASIC tutorial guide Glynne Davies made. Following that Glynne did a Graphical series which pieces together their Easydraw program, which I thought would be interesting to piece together. Though certainly using the pre-existing ACU Type-ins to upload to the CPCWiki will save heaps of time.
Okay, I've dug up and organised all those emails I received from Tasteful Mr Ship, Johnny Olsen and Herve, 8 years ago(!!!).
Wow - has it really been that long?!?!
:o
I'll use those, as well as files from cpc-power, to resume the project.
The uploads will most likely be a slow trickle, but at least progress will finally be made again after all these years.
Sounds great! If you've got Nich's notes, you'll will be able to go through the 10 liners and just modify what was converted for the 464 and bundle the other programs with those.
Sounds good - I'll try to track them down.

I'm fairly sure they were included with the ACU programs on NVG.

Well here's the BASIC tutorial guide I was talking about earlier which Glynne Davies did for ACU.
Seems trivial to be attaching one now, though as well as the examples, this one included exercises, some of the examples I changed so they would work on a 464 (mainly DATA statements with REM statement after it), I also included a 464 version and BASIC 1.1 version of some routines which use direct firmware addressing, some of those demonstrate now to create some multicoloured stippled text effects.
Here's a list of the programs I've put together from the Disk Image:

Are all of ACU's type-ins available on-line?
Also the ACU's on the CPCWiki don't have all their pages, are the scans not available or is it they haven't been added yet?

A Large majority (if not all) of readers programs are online, though seem to be scattered between NVG,
CPCWiki & the CPCWiki Forum. @Nich (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=53) points out the programs on CPC-Power have come from NVG, there's also programs on CPC-Rulez I think (mostly 10 Liners I think I saw). A number of programs between 1984 and Jan 1989 were posted here (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/games/splatch-uploaded/msg63410/#msg63410).
The BASIC tutorial series Glynne Davies did for ACU didn't appear to have any work done on it, so have added that. Likewise it appears Glynne Davies Graphics Series hasn't been typed in. It's perhaps those sorts of articles which will not attract as much interest.

The structure of the ACU Type-ins page is different from the AA Type-ins page. All the pages are present, though the disk images cease after Oct 1985 as stated on this page (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ACU_Type_Ins).

You can get them in the downloads section

Sorry yeah, I think the pages from the magazines ceased because @Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) wasn't happy having all these image files cluttering up the wiki, which can not be removed. So the downloads was setup to better manage the magazines.
I just go to the online archive and can save individual image(s) from there.

Thanks. I found them.
I see the discs contain the pokes and the type-ins, do they also include those small bits in the hairy hacker's section?
