Hi There

Have anyone of you noticed that the CPCWIKI is very slow? I even think that the CPCWIKI was down for a period yesterday.

Maybe there is new series of DOS attacks!

Anyone know for sure?

Maybe it is due to the latest version of the software, but I don't really know. It takes a lot to load the page but it's still viewable.

Hello guys...

I know, I know :( Not only that, as you may have seen, sometimes the wiki appears to be down. This is because of extreme CPU usage, and I'm trying to trace the thing that eats it up. No luck so far, I'm afraid, and I'm really puzzled...

Will keep you updated.

I think that the preview-screens is the problem.

The text of the page load well but need so many time to calculate the preview-screens of the page.

Can you make a texts with preview-screens desactived.

Gryzor

You mean the links image previews? But these only load when you move your mouse over a link, so it shouldn't really make a hit on CPU usage or anything. It's just a normal call to another page. And, in the case of external links, it just calls other servers, so the wiki server is not affected at all (since the scrip is running in your browser)!

Or do you mean something else? Which images are delayed for you?

Since I last restarted the server I've been consantly monitoring top values. Sometimes the httpd peaks to maybe 45%, but that's only momentary, so I haven't been able to pinpoint the problematic component. I'll keep monitoring...

CPCLER

Weird ....

But please continue monitoring!

Anyway the WIKI seems OK response time wise now!

Yes, ain't it weird - and frustrating? For days now I've been looking at cpu usage and it hasn't gone up! AAARGH!
