I seem unable to load a .dsk file to the board, can anyone help with this?

You just have to zip it up first.
There you go, I thought I had enabled dsk files but obviously not... Can do it later if I remember to, until then, zip it is!

You might be interested to know the .dsk file contains various BASIC files including CHESS.BAS which you showed an interest in - an incentive or an outright attempt at bribery? - I'll let you decide ;D
