Ever since I joined the CPCWIKI I have been wondering what the issue is about TFM (The guy behind FutureOS)..

Why was the FutureOS article looked?

Ohhh... big story.

You can look at the article's history, but to cut a long story short, TFM wrote the article in a completely inappropriate way - like an advertising leaflet about the greatest product in the universe, EVAH! Some inaccuracies creeped in, too. Some other users (esp. Prodatron) tried to rectify that, and TFM took it as a attack towards him and his project. Because I was of the opinion that the article did need some editing he thought that the entire wiki is a SymbOS place... go figure. So, in the end, and after he changed the corrections back a few times, I locked the article.

Now he did some changes, looks ok I think now, but it needs some linguistic editing.

And now the true story. When the CPC Wiki started I had not enought time to write a complete article about FutureOS new. So I just took an existing article, overworked it and put it in the CPC Wiki. Then a unknown guy, who calls himself Rode tries to vandalize the FutureOS article. I tried to keep the article in a good condition, but it was not possible for long. I know now that Rode is just another identity of pdt, who wants to promote his sos and therefore tries to attack me and FutureOS again and again. I was quiet a long time, but enough is just enough!
At the moment pdt has blocked me again, because he can't accept another point of view.

In the last days I tried to show pdt a mirror, so he may understand some day how unfair and bad he treats other people. Now I tried to improve some advertisment like sentences of the sos article, but pdt wants to keep it and better blocks my access to CPC Wiki.

Gryzor is as fair as he can be, but he doesn't know some details. I don't want to wash dirty clothes too much here, but if he would know some details....  then I would maybe have better cards.

To pdt: Care about your own projects and let your fingers off all FutureOS stuff! Nobody believes you that you want to do something "good" to it! If not, I will show you the mirror again, which means I will treat you like you trie to treat me. You can choose a positive or a negative way, I will only react - like usualy.

And now for the true, true story.

I do understand and appreciate that you didn't have the time to write a new article for the Wiki and you just took an existing one. But this doesn't mean that it should not be corrected, by you or other users. So other users started fixing the article, which meant:

-correcting language errors
-changing the tone and nature of the article to make it more appropriate for a Wiki
-correcting factual errors

When this happened all you did was to try and revert it, with no regards to my recommendations. So in the end it had to be locked.

So now you took another turn, and started changing SymbOS' wiki article. This is agreeable as long as the new version is better than the old one in some degree or the other. But you were really nitpicking, trying hard to find faults out of revenge. And your edits were silly (like the Windows-like GUI reference) (or the size of the project). This is, indeed, called vandalization. If you don't have something of essence to change or add, please don't do it. Even your manner was not the correct one: since it may be debatable whether it's a Windows-like GUI or not you should start a discussion in the article's TALK page instead of altering it. When there's doubt, we discuss about it. We don't vandalize pages. In contrast, the edits that had been done to your article were factual ones and not opinions.

Indeed, I may not know some details, since I'm not in the developers' scene. But I know what I see happening in the wiki. Please do calm down, and stop threatening. If you feel that there's unjustice being done against your project, please discuss it. If you feel something is not true in the SymbOS article, please discuss it. Don't go blind with revenge and anger.

Again the true story (there can't be more true than true... you know)...

However, you're right the FutureOS article was not perfect in the beginning. And for sure there were some formulation or grammar errors.

But this article contained NEVER factual errors. If you disagree, just tell me ONE example and I will proove you just wrong.

Now you would like to tell us that all the guys only want to make the fos article better? Hey, if someone replaces "FutureOS is an operating system" through the sentence "FutureOS is a program loading tool" then this makes the article really not better.

Now my question: Who is here vandalizing?

Blocking an account is easy for persons that have no arguments - like Gryzor. You an block me a third time too. You can vandalize the FutureOS article again, but FutureOS will still have a GUI and no what you would like to see in it.

Now, the FutureOS article is still locked. It was locked directly after prodatron had AGAIN deleted essential information.

You want to tell me that there should be a discussion? Ok, wonderful. So I really want to see you being part of a discussion! Just don't lock the article, discuss first, like you told before.

I expect you only to do the things that you expect from othes.

However, forget about the old stories. Better to unlock the FutureOS article now to update it - there is a particular need.

By accident I stumbled over this old thread again...

When I look back and see all the struggles that I had here one and two years ago, I really ask myself if this investment of energy makes any sense ... or give birth to any good at all.

However, these above mentioned negative energies (Rode, f.e.) have been wiped out, they are not any longer in the CPCWiki, like any evil they must perish... but FutureOS is stronger than ever, and it's light will shine for the CPC in eternity

You know, it's a funny thing; the other day, when you emailed me, I was discussing the very same thing with my girl - how you can forge some relations with persons you never see in person, and these can go up and down and get over difficulties...

Divisions in the scene are bad, we all need to be working together and definitely both OS's can happily co-exist

Well, we haven't met in person since 2007(?), so we had no chance to get this all to an good end. However, I agree with you, there is "space" enough in he universe for any kind of CPC related project.
