HAHA #1: Unnecessary empty space with short text.

The javascript toggles the height property (of the blockquote element) between 150px and inherit. But some quoted text can be smaller than 150px. So toggling instead the max-height property (with 150px when collapsed and none when expanded) should solve the problem.


HAHA #2: Expand/Collapse handle overlapping and messing up the text below it.

In the CSS class .bbc_quote_footer:

Change:
   display: block;
   margin: 0 auto 1em auto;
   
Add:
   width: 9em;

Remove:
   right:-45%;

And problem solved (hopefully :).
