Ok, guys,

for anyone who's meddled with mediawiki, you'll know that running java and HTML is not that easy - to put it mildly.

Yet today, with Markus, we managed to put online TWO implementations of WebCPC, which you can check out here:

www.cpcwiki.com/index.php/webcpc and
www.cpcwiki.com/index.php/webcpc2

Two things I'd like from everyone: first, test them out and let us know if you encounter any problems, incompatibilities, crashes etc.

Second, any ideas about how we could implement WebCPC to the Wiki properly? Some sort of gamebase maybe? Anything goes...

Oh, btw, thanks and congrats to Markus for his awesome job on the emulator... :)

Hi There!!

Yes.. It can be a hassle writing expansion stuff(plugins) for the Mediawiki framework.

Firstly to implement WebCPC proberly on the CPCWIKI I think WebCPC absolutely needs to be embedded in existing stuff.

Eg. the article comal80(or gryzor  :) for that matter) links to the stuff related to that topic. For this to be done WebCPC needs to be able to access files registered in the Mediawiki DB. Eg. the comal80.dsk just uploaded to the wiki. This way when examining the article on comal80 or gryzor. The user can try out the uploaded dsk image. It would be so cool not only to be able to read about the hundreds of old demos but also to try them out! (All the demos in the demos category).

<java_applet archive="WebCPC.jar" codebase="../webcpc" width="768" height="580" code="JCPC.ui.JCPC.class"
param2="disc" value2= "comal80.dsk"
param3="SELECTOR" value3= "true"

I don't think it makes much sense to turn the CPCWIKI into yet another game library!

But very cool stuff this WebCPC!!
