When I do a quick reply to a topic the dropzone to upload attachments is missing.  The dropzone only appears if I click on "preview". This (imho) is a bit annoying and at least surprising. Would it be possibel to have the attach feature also available when doing a quick reply?

Unfortunately not, the editor is not customizable. But is it too much to just hit the Reply button?

Of course not, but it's a weird and surprising user experience and especially for new board members pretty confusing if the "quick reply" is already there and to get the full feature set, you have to avoid the "quick reply" and click "reply" instead.

But sure, if it can't be changed, then we live with it.

Yeah I know what you mean, but the Quick Reply editor is supposed to be lighter on resources since it loads on every page load. So it makes sense to have less features. Remember, not long ago, when it didn't even have the toolbars at the top? (back then I had installed a third-party editor, but it was hard to maintain; thank god they made the built-in lite editor a bit more feature-rich).

Will take a look, but the "normal" file attach subsystem does more than just add files, so you can expect more questions about that too😁
