PS. Btw. the CPC entry at the C64-WIKI is written by somone from the CPC-WIKI. maybe we should invite someone from other communities to write about their machine here !!! Well just a thought!

Sorry aber mein deutsches ist nicht gut.

But from what i see the C64 wiki if pretty more solid than ours.

Reminds me when I compare Wikipedia's french pages and English pages...
But C64 Wiki is mostly in german ? or has it 2 languages ?

But of course both wiki are growing.

A wiki can't diminish unless a moron erases all pages...

Perhaps if CPCwiki used multi-languages : Espaniol, French, Deutsches, Hellenicos and of course english...well of course it would be greater, yet such thing may turn into a real mess with pages telling completely different thing from one tongue to another.

It is good to keep the Engrish as universal language, despite Spanish sceners seems to suck at english and perhaps do not contribute a lot.

The same with Frenchies.

Only a no-life like me can in France.

(I know, not that really ;D

C64wiki seems to lack as many games as us.

Also a lot of "red pages" IMO (links to pages but no content)

concerning the CPC page, it is mostly Wikipedia content.

Also they seems to use more the portal option and less the categories...
But I think categories are a great tool to use too.

Yet they use a lot of categories in things such as assembler...

wow, they have a category tree ?

Can we have one ?
This may be nice if it were combined with the uncategorized categories...

Concerning the C64 page to be written by a C64wikier...well...
Perhaps simply borrow their page ? (credited of course ?)

On the other hand, I would say the Wikipedia lacks a lot in CPC matters.

No proper Demoscene page, no CPC categories while Spectrum do have its own...

There would be stuff to be done there too, this would do some advertisement for our machine, which is mostly unknown beside West europa, Australia/New zealand and perhaps Canada ?

-Unfortunately the statistics they have stop some time ago...
-Yes, we're both growing, aren't we?
-Yes, the c64 was (is?) more 'solid' than the CPC wiki. But, at some time the difference was very big. Nowadays our wiki goes forward very quickly...
-I think the c64 wiki is better organized in some respects. But it's run by a team... For instance, categories and sidebar details - did we ever reach a conclusion I can implement?
-The idea about inviting others to write here is SH#!T - er, I mean great. It'd really be very interesting, even if they wrote 'adversarial' things... :)
-The multiple-language wiki has been discussed in the past, but dismissed as impractical. But I wouldn't mind opening the discussion again if more of us feel that way...
