Just to let you know, due to the creation of dozens of spammer accounts in the last few days I decided to temporarily disable account creation.
If any non-registered members want an account created, leave a post here and I'll take care of it.

Just send me a PM with your desired user name, your email and (if you wish) your real name and you'll get an email from the system with a randomly-generated password... that's all :)

I mean: When you register here in our forum, it doesnt hurt you... And when you are registered, you can spam other people full of personal messages ;)

btw, as a note, putting dots in a gmail address (in the username field) doesn't help. For Gmail, k.r.a.k.o.u.t=krakout=kr.ak.out etc.

I tried to register earlier but have not recieved a notification email.

There appear to be some problems with email at the moment. I have disabled email verification so you should be able to register without verifying your address...

Am still unable to register - it steel says it needs to send out a validation email.

Also now the user nam(es) that I was after and email addresses linked to them are blocked.

Glad to see you on board, please excuse the server niggles... we recently moved servers and there are still some issues to iron out.

However, which user name is 'blocked'? And what did it tell you - how is it blocked?

I originally tried to register under the nick "fatbob_gb" , it said that it would send me an email to validate the registration - no emails were/have been recieved.

Once you disabled email verification I tried to register with fatbob_gb again but said that the name was not available. So I tried with fatbob & a different email address nad that eventually worked - I still needed an email to validate but hat arrived after a couple of hours.

By the way - am enjoying the site and now have a list of small projects that I am looking forward to starting with my 6128 and my soon to arrive 6128+.  :)

Yeah, the problem was that the mail server was not working and the system had reserved the id/email in its pending queue until verified...
