thank you @MaV for your comment. i saw that the famous @krusty_benediction sent the thumb up on pouet and i am truly happy for that. but when i was speaking about comments, it was comments about what one liked or disliked in my intro, what way should i explore to improve and do better next time. you know, community sharing. i dream of that.

also, why @norecess wrote comments to the 2 other cpc demos, and not mine?

thank you man, your words are heartwarming!

I watched the video it looks good, loving the music. Bug Powell how about doing a write up on how you achieved the effects.

just by focusing on what you can do next to raise the bar, surely acknowledgement will come by itself.  Ánimo!

Quote from: Bug Powell on 17:18, 17 April 22@gurneyh your message is not very encouraging. what did you expect for a firstie? also i could tell you exactly the same, you talk a lot on this forum and you released stuff that would be average in the 90s.

It was just a bad joke, based on one of the sentences in your demo.
No offence

Good job, for a first :)

Claiming is bad

come on, you cannot expect people to spend their time in writing things on forums, neither to write comments on demand

Great firstie, good job Bugpowell!

@gurneyh : i forgive you.
@tjohnson : it is a nice idea but i am not sure it would interest a lot of people.
@krusty_benediction : instead of writing this message, why did not you write a little review of my intro? it would have helped me to know what to improve next time. i want to be constructive. not you? i would feel very honored to have advices from you. i am sure that experimented coders helped you when you were a beginner.
@abalore : i never asked for respect, i just ask feedback. your feedback can be that you hate my intro if you write why. i have no problem with honesty.
thanks the people who write nice comments. i would like a review too.

tjohnson

I think you would be surprised, to people like to understand how these things work and what special trickery was used to create the effects.

You created this post several weeks before the intro was released. What feedback did you expect from a simple plain, no detail announcement?

You started complaining long before the intro was released, almost a month before:

"it seems only 4 people are interested........ where are the demomakers? do you read cpc wiki forum?" Bug Powell, 20th April 2022

So yes, you were asking for respect before asking for feedback.

Bug Powell

@abalore : i just want to share with demomakers. sorry if i am misunderstood. why spending time to write this message that is not kind instead of giving your opinion on my intro? it would be more positive.

roudoudou

wanna a short review? @Bug Powell

pros:
you succeed to finish your production in a short time (i guess)
you were opened enough to accept help from other people you didn't know
like the rotating bar in front of the swingin' logo
i like the sense of humor of your scroll text better than vanity one ;D

cons:
the x-ondulation GFX is outdated => maybe some dither, pattern to get more colors, ...
the y-ondulation of the swingin' logo should be better and should use more than one deformation => tube like, elastic-zoom like, ...

My pronouns are RASM and ACE

Bug Powell

also i would like to write my opinion on the 2 other cpc demo released in revision.
open space: this intro is really beautiful, my teeth felt on the floor when watching it. how is it possible to have such content in so few space? it really impressed me a lot, i think vanity will become the new batman group.
pixel free: hard to read the scroller! it is a nice idea but i think that adding a curve on the scroller like in my intro would have been fun and surprising. i liked this colorful screen and hope to see another demo from this group.

thank you very much @roudoudou !!!!!! your review is very good, i appreciate it a lot! so i will try to improve my math level to create better curves. do you know interesting articles where i could learn things about that?
as you wrote, i am very open to work with any motivated people. about the text in the intro, i was laughing alone when i wrote it. i wrote provocative text not seriously, as you understood it  ;D ;D ;D
i will explore better effects for the next demo.
thanks again roudoudou, that is the positive attitude i like!

i asked a question "why...". i never told you what you must do.
if asking a question is abolishing freedom...

too bad that you do not want to be my friend. i had a lot of constructive things to say about your game.

I don't think Vanity will take this as a compliment.

my goal was to make a compliment. i am not aware of the stories between vanity and batman group. maybe i should have written vanity will become the new logon system.

MaV

Or not make any comparisons to other groups at all. It's a minefield.
