Cool effect and yeah a fantastic setting. I love the black hole ever since I have seen it the first time in the mid 80s. (yes a little bit late here in Germany). Esp the ship and the atmosphere and setting is just fantastic. Despite all the mistakes (e.g. gravity, atmosphere in the large storage after it has been hit by asteroids etc) I still find it a fantastic movie. 

The ending is a little bit strange :-)
