Not emulated - original hardware and software.
Please note that  the aspect ratio for this YouTube video is 16:9 but the CPC monitor
has an aspect ratio of 4:3 so you may wish to adjust your viewing device accordingly.

Do you have some tips to tell youtube to display 4:3 video with proper ratio?
Because as far as i know, i cannot do that and using youtube on a 4:3 screen won't fix this either

Both my LG and BUSH televisions have 4:3 as an option, if your viewing device does not support that then I'm afraid there is not much to be done.

This will give you some background info on the problem:

However I know a few members here use the OSSC so maybe someone else has an answer?

In fact, my question was: Why uploading 16:9 ratio video if the source is 4:3 ratio?

When i upload 4:3 video to youtube, youtube keeps the ratio disregard the output screen. So why stretch the video before upload, then everyone must strech back to the correct ratio... :-\

I use straight passthru on the OSSC which does not have 4:3 as a default.
If you have an OSSC and there is a better option please let me know.

If you are using an OSCC, i guess it's an output resolution settings (telling him you have a 4:3 screen but hey, i'm not the one doing videos)?

Anyway, keep the good work!

Yes there are a few settings for 4:3 but none apply to passthru.
I use passthru only as the upscaling options can sometimes lead to the OSSC losing sync or, more often, the Hauppauge Rocket will not record the output.

Awesome! Looks like a 16-Bit system screen.

Before dealing with monitors and other hardware I'd like to know how this was actually achieved.
** My SID player/tracker AYAY Kaeppttn! on github **  Some CPC music and experiments ** Other music ** More music on scenestream (former nectarine) ** Some shaders ** Some Soundtrakker tunes ** Some tunes in Javascript

My hardware: ** Schneider CPC 464 with colour screen, 64k extension, 3" and 5,25 drives and more ** Amstrad CPC 6128 with M4 board, GreaseWeazle.

This is a screen in EGX1 mode (alternating between lines in mode 0/mode 1) done with ConvImgCpc ;)

EGX1 ?

Are there any links for this? :)

There is this fantastic tool called Martine, by Sid_, which can create those images quite easily:
