Someone, add the music XD

He he, I will try to do that  ;)

SyX

Great Job!!! :D

Don't forget take a look to the Dragon version, include the source and looks and sound really great, too  ;)

Gryzor

This would be really sweet to annoy the significant other...

The tune is spot-on. The animation is really well done, but it kinda stumbles at the end of the loop?

Bring the two together!!!

PS hey, really vivid colours, the Dragon... must be the mushrooms in Wales!

demoniak

Small update  ;)

Supercool!

2 things:

-the loop doesn't work properly (I don't know why). Would it be easier to use the arkos player instead of an YM file? (the music file would be smaller also)
-to make it more like the real thing the cat shouldn't show until the end of the intro (when the infinite loop starts). Using the arkos player you can send synchro messages to your program by including some commands in the music file. Also you could use that time to show some credits.

And... would this work on a 464?  ;D

demoniak

Yes, I think it will be more easy to do such things with arkos player.

And yes, it works on 464, the size is 20ko of uncompressed datas :)

McKlain

Cool  ;D

Wich address do I have to put in the bin exporter? 4000 is the default one.

Excellent!
This beats every demo before!!!

Edit: Who puts it on pouet.net?

The start address is #2000

But this is only a first test, if you send me the  compiled starkos song, I can do better ;-)

McKlain

You mean this? I've exported it with start address #2000.

I've put a digisample command (D01) on the start of the first pattern after the intro, I think that you can use that to do the synchro.

Ok, I will do the next "release" with that ;-)

McKlain

I got a little confused when you mentioned starkos, as I use arkos in windows  ;D

#20
This could need more pony to get  it 20% cooler..
;)
and Brony friendly.

Anyway.

Nice but i would suggest some Colour/inks changes... to get a more accurate experience perhaps.

Also try to get it a little bit smoother... some the frames could be a byte more accurate...(pun)
Is it double buffered ?

have a look at the mockup there.

You may even have to reassign inks/recode Garphic Datas...

just compare the edited version to the unmodified...

The and "Green" parts of the rainbow  (So also "SkyBlue" and Pastel Yellow) lack the ondulation effect.

Also the "pixelisation" tend to have some missing black pixels (should I say characters ?) on some frames....

but it is a jolly good idea, I was thinking about this recently... we even talked about this on another thread if I remember correctly..

you unedited version seem to use 12 inks...

My edited version is perhaps +2 additionnal inks.

=turn the Poptart "pink" (47h) dots  into bright magenta (4Dh)

=the "Pastel Yellow" (43h or 49h) on the rainbow into Bright Yellow (4Ah)

The CPC version look best by far :)

The Pony is kewl! Anyone up to putting them both in the same program? Then the CPC would be leagues ahead - the ueber Nyan demo! :D

demoniak

@MachDeath : Thanks, I will apply your coulor changes and some "pixels alignment" in the next (final ?) release.  ;)

redbox

This has to be one of the coolest CPC releases for a while.

Would love to see it on a C64 hahahahahahahahahahaha!
