Hi guys. I found this and I was amazed! I really like!
Cool, do you know what type of sound module this is (or proprietary)?

Really strange for something posted on this forum just one month ago :D
Great!
lol! I did not see it!!!
Ok, now who's in for a Mode0 remake of the game ?
This game is shit... Just a technical demo for the Amiga.
Wasting time to remake it is not a good idea. (dreaming that is usual :-\ )
I've in stock shadow of the beast+ unfinished, and Mario+ unfinished too. Maybe one day.... Mario+ will be released in cartridge version. So wait and see. Beast+ will probably only be a demo...
QuoteBeast+ will probably only be a demo...
wasn't Shadow of the beast basically an Amiga Demo to begin with ?*
But then, ask something to britons and they sh... er... the spl... er... make you a speccy port... from an Amiga Demo into a speccy port of death... oh crual world...
*look into your heart and you'll know it's true.
Beast+, was coded from A to Z... It's made with Ced's graphics for cpc plus only! Maybe i'll post a screenshot here, who knows?
Yes do that! :)
@TFM (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=179) : you can see the screenshot here (http://amstradplus.forumforever.com/t77-Beast.htm#p591)
PLease give me a feedback ;D
That's absolutely awesome!
Maybe the red in the middle not so dark. And maybe the borders around the mountains a bit weaker, so that they melt with the background more.
That knocks out MSX and Amiga! I like the saturated colors. Great work.
Good is that it doen't look bleached out like lots of GFX on c64 or 16-32 bit.
Really hope you will release it one day!!! :)
Thanks TFM, you're welcome... Happy to see you like it! Shadow of the Beast rulez !

Sad you put that ugly scanlines on the screenshot, as it look nowhere near the real thing (CPC screen don't have any scanlines). But despite that, it seems really nice.
The video of beast+ is ready now... So, what do you think about it?
Don't forget' it's only a preview running on a pc because i don't have any cpc plus here.
Link! (http://amstradplus.forumforever.com/t77-Beast.htm#p655)
Kicks Amigas butt!
Happy to see you like it... Maybe i'll finish it one day.
Ooh, very nice. :)
@andycadley (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=327) : let us your comment in amstradplus forum too... Thanks.
If you like or dislike it, please let us any comments !
THIS PREVIEW WILL BE USED AS MAIN MENU IN A FUTURE BdcIron, Revival and IMP4cT coopération.
Who want to make us Beast+ song?
So "BDC IRON Ghost" is still doing stuffs after all ? great, can't wait... :)
allez Amaury, ponds nous un truc qui déchire !!!
Sure, we are all waiting Jim vaPower! 8)
But this time BdcIron's part are ready.
Wow really impressive! It is nice to see how the Plus can be much more then just a "different" CPC with more colors.
For those Who want to see :
Beast+ Preview (unfinished) coded for Amstrad Plus by Ast/iMPACT. Gfx done by (http://youtu.be/fyR6d6sAH4I)
Hope you'll like it.
The parallax scrolling is FTW :)
@Gryzor (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) : do you like it?
Of course I do!
Only two minor remarks: the sprite looks a bit jagged so it would require some fine-tuning, and also its walking pace does not agree with the background scroll so that it appears to be sliding (I think that was an issue on the Amiga too?).
I'd certainly play it to death if it ever appeared on the CPC. Even back then magazines did moan about its playability, but come on guys, let's face it, those graphics were to die for so everyone was in awe and playing just to see more of it...

That's the "Moonwalk" effect :D
Bryce.
Yeah it is. It'd be actually realistic if the planet was covered in Vaseline :D
It looks pretty cool, but to my eyes the parallax effect is undermined a little by the way the two most distant 'ground layers' move at a slower rate than the even more distant mountains.

Yeah I noticed that too. Still very nice but that needs fixing. :)
Ok for the fixing, but can you give me any idea about the speed?
Cloud1?
Cloud2?
...
Mountains?
...
Grass....
Tell me speed x, and maybe the way (left to right or right to left)
It will be easy to fix it.
Carnivac: are you interested in making some monsters, eyes,...etc... I'll put it there. It will be funny to have a main menu with some monsters to kill/destroy.... It's sooooo gooooood like that!

Thanks for asking but I'll decline. I've no interest in the Plus machines or their palette. You look like you got it all sorted anyways. Good luck with it. :)
No problem Carnivac... Maybe another time. :D
Shadow of the beast on plus machines...
It's really good !
:)
Shadow of the Beast is one of my all time favorite games and I have thought about a CPC+ conversion forever. It is great to see how nice it looks and I hope that you manage to finish it some day guys. Wonderful work :)
Never played it on the amiga but finished it on the megadrive.
I really enjoyed it and I'm always a bit confused by the level of dislike people have for this.
Maybe I need to play it again to see why.
What you've done looks incredible. The background and the clouds. Imagine if games that looked and moved this well had come out for the plus and gx4000.
All people could use to say their machine was better would be sales numbers ;)
The sprite needs a bit of work and the outlines of the mountains is a bit too thick, not that I would complain if I'd bought the full game in the90's I'm just saying to offer feedback now as it still is wip.
Baby, baby, one more time....
Here comes the movie coming from my Amstrad Plus screen.
That both looks and sounds amazing
Great! Small idea: The ground where the man is running should not move more quick than the background mountain (more far away).
The real "problem" is the ground... The player must not have to be on the middle of parallax planes. (it is why it look strange when he run)
Ok, so where must he be?
After this video, my jaw dropped to the floor and it's beyond repair! :o :o :o :o
At the good place : Between the sky parallax and the ground parralax. Like on the orriginal version.
Else... The effect not work properly.

really impressive demo, is there any plans to make it into a game, or a demo menu or will you keep it as a tech demo?
I think about making a demo menu version.... But i can't continue it for the moment coz i've my x-mem problem to solve.
