2020 Mode 1 screen with 18 colours.
Irritatingly the "shimmering" effect was not visible on the monitor when this was recorded but is apparent in the video, so to display the screen correctly pause the video.
The excellent accompanying music by Shining (Running on a second 6128) is 'CPCAI'.

Not emulated - original hardware and software.
Please note that the aspect ratio for this YouTube video is 16:9 but the CPC monitor
has an aspect ratio of 4:3 so you may wish to adjust your viewing device accordingly.
In this case it would really better to watch it on a real CPC (not PC), because of the interlace.
Now this is interesting and unexpected.
I've just checked this on a LG TV/monitor v a 6128 Plus monitor and the shimmering/flickering is much more pronounced on the Plus monitor.
Anyone have any idea why?
Modern LCD displays do an awful lot of image processing and so these kind of effects (where things flicker back and forth between two colours) often get smoothed out by the software in the display.
