This is indeed a great idea..

But I most agree that having applets load this way is not without problems! When visiting this thread on my smartphone(Having no trouble showing other applets) it crashes the browser! And I would like to read the forum or browse the wiki while on the move.
I think as mentioned elsewhere that a button should be shown!!

Works fine for me under Firefox 3.0.12, XP Pro SP3, Sun Java version "1.6.0_14"
Does not work under Firefox 3.0.12, Ubuntu Linux 8.04, libgcj version "1.5.0"

By "does not work", I mean nothing actually happens at all.

WebCPC doesnt work with Linux, sorry guy

Got it working! :)
Installing the GCJ browser plugin based on OpenJDK gets WebCPC running in Firefox.  It's a 26+MB download, if you don't already have OpenJDK installed.
